Strengths: SO FAR THE CONNECTION HAS NOT STOPPED
Weakness: I SET TWO OFFICES WITH THE ADAPTERS AND THE CD WOULD NOT LOAD ON SOME OR IT WOULDN'T ALLOW A CONNECTION, SO I HAD TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE. I THINK THEY WERE SICK OF ME AFTER A WHILE.
SO FAR SO GOOD. I HEARD SOME BAD THINGS ABOUT NETGEAR, BUT I THOUGHT I'D GIVE IT A CHANCE. CUSTOMER SERVICE BECAME IRRITATED AFTER 6TH CALL. MOST OF THE THE CUSTOMER REPS WERE NICE. I RAN INTO A ROTTEN ONE AT THE END. THEY REGISTER WHEN YOU CALL, SO I GUESS HE THOUGHT I WAS A PEST.
Strengths: Easy installation, wide range, reasonably priced, Netgear brand name.
Weakness: Intermittent disconnection from the network router.
I really like Netgear USB adapter products than other adapter available in the market. First of all, this adapter automatically assigns you an encyrpted codes for WEP, whereas for D-Link you need to do a 'cut and paste' method to set up for the encrypting. Second, it is stable in terms of connecting to the wireless router. Even while using a cordless phone with 2.4GHz frequency, I NEVER get...
Strengths: Easy to install with basic setup
Weakness: Can heat up quickly
Great connectivity with my netgear router. Have had no drops and the router and adapter are on opposite sides/floors of the house. Had to download the driver from their website, but it installed easily.
Quick and Easy Install or Setup. Works great with my WGU624 Router and Never Had any problems!! Compact, Portable and Great Connection Speed with Wide Range. Intermittent disconnection from the network router
Strengths: Great design...portable...great connection speeds.
Weakness: Little tricky to setup with WEP or WPA...even with Netgear router.
Installation was pretty basic without encryption...but turning on WEP or WPA really complicated matters. Had to end up uninstalling, rebooting router, and reinstalling again. Works like a champ since then...
Strengths: Light weight, Easy installation, wide range
Weakness: None
Netgear USB adapter are better then the other companies in market, they automatically assigns an encyrpted codes for WEP as compare to the D Link one where we need to assign these manually. The performance of this product is great.
Strengths: Light weight, convenient
Weakness: Signal strength
I used this with my laptop. Hopefully, it can help boost the wireless connection. But, it turned out that the laptop built-in adapter is even stronger than the Netgear. The installation, though, is very easy. The laptop recognized the Netgear very fast.
Strengths: Affordable. Small. USB enhances using for multi-devices.
Weakness: Needs good sightline. Bright LED illuminates room undesirably.
I am using this with the Netgear WGR614 Wireless Router. The adapter seems to be fine. The router is less than desirable. A lot of the judgement for the adapter is combined with the router because the adapter doesn't work without a source. Since this router is well known for dropping signals and losing connections, it doesn't make the user feel all that great about the adapter either. It took me...
Strengths: Fast transfer speed
Weakness: Had difficulty with setup, bulky size
It was diffcult to get this device to recognize my wireless network. Had to call customer support for assistance. There were compatibility issues using D-Link wireless router, also maybe it was because it is a wireless router and not an access point, but I have not had problems with other adapters. Other complaint is the size which blocks off use of multiple USB slots if they are next to each...
hang
Strengths: Easy to install, price are much lower than the other store.
Weakness: Very low Strength.
This brand of this wireless adapter is the best so far. It is very easy for me to set it up on my laptop and it have a very high speed. The only problem I have with this product is the signal. The signal strength is very low, so I got disconnect very often.
