Strengths: None
Weakness: Signal strength drop off is excessive. Slower internet, wireless, and signal strength than WRT54GX4 SRX400. Setup CD is goofy for experienced user, recommend 192.168.1.1 manual setup.
Multiple use examples critiqued in my following review. I bought this wireless router based on "expert" reviews in magazines and on the web but am very disappointed. The router works but I am planning to return it for an exchange. Xbox wireless can only attain moderate connection causing game drop. Xbox media connection to 5ghz is poor signal strength. Tivo wireless signal went from ~50-60 signal...
Strengths: Replacement seems to be a good product.
Weakness: DOA
Was DOA and Linksys would only replace it through RMA with a refurbished unit. I had to return the first refurb because it was scratched and dirty. The second one was still not refurb quality. Avoid Linksys if you think you will every need warranty support.
Strengths: Does not drop connections. Fast. Good looking unit you can place in sight.
Weakness: Do not expect to connect at 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz simultaneously.
I highly recommend the WRT610N. My previous LinkSys WRT350N dropped the connection at least two times per day. The 610N has yet to drop the connection. Speed is excellent, but I simultaneously installed a Motorola SURFboard SB6120 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem and a LinkSys WEC600N Dual-Band Wireless-N Express Card, so I do not know which products produce the bulk of the increased speed. I had expected...
Strengths: Reliability, throughput power, stability, range, dual channels, external HD hook-up via USB, ease of configuration, and it even looks cool on top of all that!
Weakness: Slightly difficult to set up external HD through router, but not impossible...just do your research.
This router is quite like a dream for all its reliability and functionality. Mind you, this is not for the casual user or someone who does not know wireless set up very well, however it is easier than one would think. Definitely use the manual set-up over the "PIN" set-up so you know it's done right. This router is replacing a previously decent Linksys model WRT310N, which I will give to someone...
Strengths: Basic DSL Sharing and Wireless functionally is all there and appears to work fine...
Weakness: CD Wizard didn't work for me... Storage Port is crap. See comments below...
I bought this router for the storage port... I wanted to attach a USB Drive to it, so that I could power off my main system rather than have it up and going for the shares... And am I disappointed... It's slow... It's buggy... It generally does not work well.. From Java Bugs when I try to format a disk... To only supporting FAT32... To router locking up duing large transfers... To lack of decent...
Strengths: Dual Band, Gigabit Connection, Good wireless distance coverage
Weakness: Provide CD is very basic, no manual
I tried to install the router by using the CD first, at the last step when it verified the internet connection, it kept saying that there is no internet connection. So I gave up using the CD, power off the router and turn it back on. It works fine after that. Better coverage and faster download than my 54G Linksys.
Strengths: Quick Setup, fast, versatility
Weakness: Price
Easy setup, though the LELA was quite redundant, as long as you have a little bit of knowledge about using a router. Gigabit and USB port are included in this router, making it a good solution to NAS.
Strengths: Easy to setup
Weakness: NO range at all.
HORRRABLE range. Lame tech support tries to explain HORRABLE performance by checking my config, it works when I'm on top of it! They look good but the reality is wireless routers need antennas, if they dont have them they dont work.
Strengths: wired
Weakness: wireless
All I get is disconnected, its like all my wireless connects get dropped all at wonce and when I called LINKSYS support all the could say was "Lets reset the router and start from scratch". The truth is that there is a problem with this router and Vista and signal issues.
THE GOOD: Compact, internal antenna design; supports both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz Draft N simultaneously; network-attached storage functionality; runs cool; supports Wi-Fi-Protected Setup. THE BAD: Short one-year warranty; 2.4GHz close-range and mixed-mode throughput could be better; expensive. THE BOTTOM LINE: The WRT610N can satisfy both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz wireless clients with its solid performance,...

Look At Other Models
Strengths: Very pretty but!!!!
Weakness: Too much emphasis on a pretty face but lacks performance substance. Weaker signal than my old DLink Dir635. Really needs external antennas.
Anyone considering the new "style" Linksys routers should look at other models. These routers seriously lack signal strength because of the built-in antennas. I used the Linksys with their own WUSB600N and I got twice the signal strength with the DLink 635. I tried other wireless adapters with the Linksys and the results were the same. Updated firmware to latest claimed to improve wireless...
