Strengths: Price
Weakness: Everything else
Although it is advertised as up to 8 X the range and backward compatible with 802.11b and g, the signal strength was much worse than my DI-614+ b router. My DLW-120 USB adapter, which picks up some signal from the b, could not even connect with the MIMO router. Thinking the unit was defective, I exchanged it for another - same problem. Technical phone support at D-Link told me the b adapter was...
Strengths: none...so far
Weakness: dual antenna even worse than 614 with one antenna, i like D-link a lot, but this time perhaps i have to be disappointed...
when i used D614, i received very low signal and sometimes low, but after i switched to this, always no signal...and very little of time gets very low signal... i am gonna return this... not a good job this time, D- link..
Strengths: It seems a little better than DI-624. It doesn't loss connection as DI-624 I have before.
Weakness: It can only setup 2 static ip address.
I always have D-link for my network solution. I am dispointed for the only 2 static ip address. It need to be updated the firmware but there is no update so far in D-link website. Other than that, I am happy with this new wireless router because my living room can receive a better singal than before.
Strengths: Compact size and sample, easy setup. The product looks looks very sturdy and well made. Installation was very quick.
Weakness: None that I'm aware of although I am not a computer guru.
My computer technology expert recommended this product and he set it up for me. According to him it works fine and accomplished everything he wanted, so therefore I'm equally happy. I was able to obtain a very favorable price by using Price Grabber and saved about $40.00 over the price in the local store and I received the product in a matter of a few days and was only charged $2.99 for shipping....
Strengths: Easy to setup, great range, and the security functions are superb.
Weakness: Antennas are not detachable :(
Highly recommended this is a great router very easy to set up and is still running solid as an AP. Easy to setup, great range, and the security functions are superb.
Strengths: Price, Ease of setup
Weakness: Range
I wanted to replace my old DI-624 with something with better range for my upstairs networking. I found that the DI-624M actually had a weaker range than the router it was replacing. I ended up selling the unit and going for D-Link's DIR-655 which I can say really performs.
Strengths: Easy to set up, rarely drops signals, fast, great range
Weakness: None yet
My experience with this router has been great. I bought it to replace and aging Belkin 54g and got exactly what I wanted...easy setup, connectivity for four XP and one Windows 2000 machine, and fantastic range. I can go across the street well into a park and get on my network without a problem. I can't account for anyone who has had trouble with this unit since I'd buy it again in a second.
Strengths: fast
Weakness: n/a
This product of D-link is really great!! it helps our wireless system in our place wonderful!! much easier and so convenient. we like this product. Moreover, it is quite cheap when compare with other brand and, again, it works great. next time, we will look for the product of this brand :) thanks a lot...
I wanna sell it
Strengths: looks zippy
Weakness: Let us count them:
For starters if any 802.11b wireless clients join the wireless LAN this D-Link drops the whole WLAN to 802.11b, unlike the Belkin. If you're like me and have some 802.11b units (older laptops with built-in wireless that can't be upgraded to 802.11g) you'll not like this aspect. I found absolutely NO improvement of wireless range or signal, unlike the Belkin. My old Apple Airport (about 5 years...
