Strengths: Easy to install; works BETTER than advertised!
Weakness: Cosmetics only; ugly design and color
I bought two of these bridges to use with older "legacy" PCs running Win 98 (1st Ed.) that would not support other wireless networking adapters. Not only did the 810+ install and run flawlessly with the Win 98 machines, but it also bailed me out of an unexpected problem with my laptop running Win XP PRO. For some reason, my Toshiba Satellite Pro 6000 exhibited problems with the wireless network...
Strengths: Setup is easy, works great.
Weakness: Large lights made me have to hide it so it doesn't interrupt my TV viewing.
The first time I ran through the setup the ethernet bridge was connected to my computer. I thought that the setup was too easy for me to have done it correctly and I thought I was missing. I decided to try out my settings and connected it to my ReplayTV console. Turned on my console and forced a connection. To my surprise, it worked!! Setup was easy and everything was working the way I wanted it...
Strengths: Easy to Administer, Small package, Good Range, solid connection, and fast enough for gaming.
Weakness: brown color
First off, this bridge was super easy to get set up and working with my XBOX. I just followed the instructions and was done in a few fleeding moments. Although all I could wait for was to play online with my XBOX. After configuring it right all I had to do was plug it into my XBOX with the cable provided and suddenly I could play XBOX online with no lag and play I did. My XBOX is in my room which...
D-Link AirPlus DWL-810+ Wireless Access Point
Strengths: Great reception and set up so easy a monkey could do it
Weakness: no signal strength meter
5 Minutes to set up. Doesn't take up a pci slot, Can give an entire group of ethernet devices internet access with a switch. It's way easier to set up than an internal card and No indicator of signal strength, though this will pick up your wireless router anywhere in almost any house (billionares may need a repeater)
