Weakness: Pricey (at $100)
The quality of the pictures this webcam takes is excellent when under decent lighting. It however becomes a bit grainy if the room is dark. The mechanism for keeping the webcam on top of your monitor seems flimsy but it works really well. This webcam is made to be used with IM clients, primarily windows messenger but it works with AIM, Yahoo and others as well.

Weakness: High Price, but worth it
This is the best webcam I have ever owned. Its built-in microphone works great with perfect sound quality. It cuts down the noise very well. Although, pictures from the photo shooting mode are not as good as the ones from the digital camera, I'm quite satisfied with its picture quality. The video shooting mode impressed me with the outcome but it doesn't really capture the super fast movement.
THE GOOD: Compact size and sturdy base; acceptable picture quality for video calls; decent audio. THE BAD: Grainy video at lower resolutions; video gets choppy at higher resolutions; software has some annoying quirks. THE BOTTOM LINE: There are better Webcams that you can buy with your $100 than the Microsoft LifeCam VX-7000.
