This is a great little camera. It's very sleek looking, fits nicely, easy to install, and easy to use. I've had no problems with the built-in-mike. It's a little hard to focus at first, but once done, you can simply leave it alone. The windows live call button is somewhat annoying since it's very easy to hit and touch, but overall very nice, simple, and easy.

I got it for $29.99 after rebate and all the reviews that I could find on the web said that this is a good webcam. So, I gave it a shot and it didn't disappoint me at all.

Be sure to adjust focus ring. Passable audio from the built-in microphone. However, the button on the top of the camera works only with Microsoft Life Messenger. Too bad it is useless using Skype or Google Talk. For the price paid ($6.59) plus coupons - my daughter loved it. Actually, 3.5 stars for this simple, easy and nice looking webcam.

This is a great little webcam. I had it installed in less then 5 minutes, and was on-line transmitting a few minutes after that. The quality on the receiving end is nice, and the built in microphone is a nice feature. It sits on top of the monitor or the base of the monitor equally well. I'd recommend this webcam to anyone that is looking for one.

It's Easy to use!
Strengths: vx-3000 works great with all of the instant messenger programs.
Weakness: The windows live button only work with MSN windows live calling...I don't find it useful at all.
Great webcam. Don't bother with other brands especially phillips. This webcam simplified my instant messenger experience. It also replaced my headset because the camera has a mic on it also.
