Strengths: cheap, basically will do everything I need except the latest games...
Weakness: probably not for gamers but plenty enough for me.
I don't really like the nvidia software. But I guess I am used to the ati interface. But overall, the card is great for general work and some games.
Strengths: Reasonable price, good performance
Weakness: Not powerful to run big 3D games
This is a good entry level card at a reasonable price, and it handles 2D video quite well. The fan is very quiet. DVI output is included. If you are a fan of big 3D games, go for other high end cards. If you are only looking for a budget card good for daily use, here it is.
Strengths: Cheap. Has DVI output. Quiet.
Weakness: Not powerful enough for 3D gaming.
This is a good entry level video card for non-gamers. DVI output improves the crispness of screen text and even though it has a fan, it runs quietly. Definitely not good enough to play latest 3D games but it's an excellent choice for web browsing and office tasks.
Strengths: good price after rebate, cool and stable card, not power hungry; has DVI connector
Weakness: the performance is not much better than the on board video but most onboard video have no DVI output, so even for that reason you may want to get this card.
a decent card for web and office. for HTPC, the low end 8xxx series card is a better choice at comparable price. Both the low end 7xxx and 8xxx card are not for gamer. nVidia's numbering is very confusing, so check the review before you buy your next card. For some reason, my fanless 8400GS from EVGA is much hotter. Not sure it's the design difference or in general 8xxx chips consume more power.
Strengths: Low price, easy to install, good for daily uses
Weakness: Not for latest games
This is a good budget video card, and it is quite easy to install. Since it is an old video card, don't expect that it can handle the latest games well, but it is good enough for normal daily uses. EVGA is pretty good at making video cards, and all the cards have life-time warranty.
Strengths: Installation was quick and easy, Runs games great.
Weakness: None
This card can handle many games on low settings, but not really meant for too much gaming. It is better than the motherboard video card. I have always trusted the EVGA. It has actually turned out to be better than I thought. It's worth the price This is a great card for the money.
Strengths: Install is easy, not too big and the fan works good enough
Weakness: None for the price.
Very easy to install, Driver is working great. It provide crip text, and clean clear vivid graphics. I play a lot of sports games and some first person shooters and I can run all of them with all the settings up. Great card for the money
Strengths: DVI+VGA, Price is very good
Weakness: Non so far because I am not a game fan
This is a entry level video card nowdays since lots of new games require high end video cards, however for most users, daily working is just internet and office use. So this card is good enough for these and with a very cheap price.
Strengths: Very stable card provides an easy installation. You'll have a great experience with most non-gaming functions. The fan keeps the card nice and cool.
Weakness: Some might find the fan slightly loud. Card is large.
I'd highly recommend this card if you plan on using Vista with office apps, web browing and 2D video. You'll have no stability issues. The fan keeps the card very cool. The installation for me was very simple using the included instructions.
e-GeForce 7300 GS Video Card
Strengths: Excellent resolution at reasonable price, speed
Weakness: Not designed for the most intense games (but no paying that high price either).
I didn't need a graphics card that would give me top of the line performance. Just something decent. My friend recommended this card and so far I'm loving it. Still does a great job for games that I play. Example: Unreal Tournament 2004, Counter-Strike, and Call of Duty 2. Can't go wrong for the price. Highly recommended!
