Strengths: Great product. excellent for top games (call of duty 2, caesar IV, Doom3). Maybe the best AGP card under $200
Weakness: poor driver, take me about 1 hour to install it.
.I have been looking for a card that would allow me to extend my AGP slot and still play the current games. I upgraded from an ATI 9200 256mb card. This one is the best I can find. It allows a two year old Dell (Pentium D 2.8) to run Windows Vista with ease.
Strengths: Fast, Best AGP card, Can do all the latest special effects, can do more than expected and more than ATI says, and it can play ati radion X1900 demos
Weakness: a little noisier than the average card (but not by much and not an ugly sound), Instalatin disk has problems, Screwed up my AGP driver? (my computer wasnt working so well so it probably wasn't the card
I was very happy to get the card but it took about a day to install because the driver on the disk didn't want to install. I just went to ATI.com and downloaded a driver and it worked fine. Then the card worked great untill it somehow crashed my system, but I was going to reformat anyways. Afterward the card worked great and there are no problems besides a problem with the Crytek game "Farcry"...
Strengths: Very good graphics, going from a 128MB 9600 Pro, which didn't perform too bad, but this is definitely better. Runs the new Flight Simulator X with very good graphics :)
Weakness: Way more expensive the the Sapphire equivalent. Fan is NOISY!!! Really bothering me a ton. CD Driver doesn't work. Had to download from site.
If I were to have to buy over again, I would buy the Sapphire, seeing as the fan looks as if it would work better, and is much cheaper $$$.
Strengths: great all rounder
Weakness: have not found any yet
this is the first time ive upgraded my com and this card ive got to be honest is the best value foe money ive paid no prop with driver loaded firstime in all it took just half hour to fit and set up if on low budget highly recomend
ATI Radeon X1650 Pro Video Card
Strengths: Great AGP graphics card. 512MB lets you run most of the newer games out on the market
Weakness: Haven't found any yet.
This is an excelent upgrade for my PC. I'm still putting off changing my board and CPU for one of those Duo Core PC's & PCI Express video card. This is sortof a stop gap for me. But boy does this card really rock. I can run Quake 3 at the near highest setting without missing a beat. This card is really cool.
