Strengths: good for basic use
Weakness: not for gamers
one of the more older video cards which is excellent for someone who does not use the computer for playing games as the primary use. But this is an excellent choice for watching movies. i use this on my sons computer
Strengths: ATI Made, Affordable, Sturdy, 128mb Ram, drivers and software
Weakness: Hard to overclock and can't handle high end games
I had an old gF2 2years ago then upgraded to this as the first thing i added on to my computer. As soon as i installed it, which was simple, it worked great. To this day i still use it as a back up. I lone it to friends that don't have a sufficient card and they have no problems. I originally purchased it for i think $120.00 and it was worth it then and now that its cheapier its even more worth...
Strengths: ATI brand, 8X AGP, passive heatsink = quiet!
Weakness: Falling into the lower end of video cards.
I purchased this video card as an upgrade for my son's computer last year. It was a great improvement over his previous card. He was able to play the current video games with little or no lag. Although this card is now a little dated, having 128MB of video ram with 8X AGP keeps this card among the good choices of entry-level graphics for games. Most games will work fine with the exception of...
Strengths: No fan, runs quitely. good perfermence/price ratio.
Weakness: No DVI out put. If you have a LCD monitor, this is not a good choice.
I am not a 3D game fans. The main reason I bought this card is because it does not have fan and runs very quietly. I have been using this card for more than one month, and I did not see any problem with it.
Strengths: Easy install, best for videos (not gaming!) is a standard card, EQ, W.O.W and Call of Duty 2 in satisfactory ability.
Weakness: NOT for gamers, never good on Quake 4, FEAR, Half-Life 2, etc. that are highend
Go for a Radeon x600 or above if you are a gamer. Tried Quake 4 Demo on my Radeon 9200 and it was - horrible! - . I cried. So if you are looking for a good card for gaming, go for the x600 or above, but overall the 9200 is best for media video, movies and editing film and such.
Strengths: 128 MB, 8x, nice software
Weakness: not much of a GAMERS card
good enough for a guy who doesnt pay much attention to graphics, the card was relatively cheap considering my standards for the video cards. There are better cards for more money like the Radeon 9800, but it depends on yoru taste. Make sure the card isn't OEM, mines was an official ATI card. Anyhow, buy it and enjoy.
Strengths: clearer than my integrated card
Weakness: ...
i bought this cuz it was cheaper than most of the other ati radeon cards. but it came out to be nice so this is my second one.
Strengths: Easy install. Better than the GForce 2MX I had.
Weakness: I still notice just a bit of slow frame rate while playing Blood Omen 2. But only when the title comes out, After that it seem's to be ok.
Real easy to install. Only noticed a bit of slow frame rate. Not too bad. It's a lot better than the GForce2MX I had. It's alright for the price. 128MB is real nice. I play Everquest a lot and this card seems to handle the game very well. I'll keep this card till I get enough cash to purchase the 9700 Pro or 9800. Till then it makes me happy. Yes I would recommend it.
Strengths: Easy to install
Weakness: Not fast enough to go head to head online with people
If u don't get online and play against people and just play against the computer this is the perfect card. Its very dependable Ati makes a very good card and i have had no trouble with it except the Dvd driver errors. The big pain in the rear for me is Ati itsself, I tried to contact them and ask about the Dvd error but could not afford a bill to canada and its hard to just email them or it was...
ATI Radeon 9200 review
Strengths: Plays most games like GTA3, Vice City, Max Payne 2, Hitman Contracts
Weakness: Don't expect this to be a powerful video card for later games like Doom 3, Half Life 2 and others.
It's a cheap simple video card to go around when you're on a budget. There are plenty of better ATI cards than this one. Can't think of anything else to write.
