Strengths: As good as or better than the high end Logitech Z-5500
Weakness: No remote control
I tried the Logitech Z-5500 with it's enormous subwoofer that took up half the foot room under my desk. I even used an optical connection on the Logitech to get the best sound I could from iTunes. Then I tried the Klipsch Promedia 2.1. Even though it doesn't have an optical connection and the subwoofer is half the size of the Logitech Z-5500, the Klipsch sounds just as good. Plus, the Klipsch has...
Strengths: Wonderful sound. Controls on satellite speaker. jack for headphones on speaker.
Weakness: larger satellites that take up a big chunk of your desk.
These speakers are lovely. They sound very realist and would rival a full stereo system. I have them connected to a creative XFi gamer card and I am sure that helps. My biggest problem is that the satellites are large and really take up a lot of space on the desk. I guess that is the price you pay for quality. I would definitely buy them again.
Strengths: Room shaking sound, headphone jack on speaker
Weakness: none
I bought the Creative GigaWorks T20 2.0 speakers to replace a set of Microsoft 2.1 speakers that died after 6 yrs. They just didn't have the depth of the 2.1 so I opted for these since my son had a 4.1 set of Klipsch and I had purchased 5.1 home theater set of Klipsch that have been fantastic. These also did not disappoint. Only need to turn up the volume a quarter or the way to rattle my desk....

The Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 are a pair of computer speakers that combine top-quality sound with visual appeal to deliver an “incredible splash of sophistication to laptops and PCs.” The second of two computer speaker sets, the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 is an upgrade from the Klipsch Groove PM20 in that it adds along a one side-firing 6.5” long-throw fiber composite cone subwoofer. Awesome Computer Speakers
Strengths: can handle high volumes without distortion, rich deep bass, clear highs, punchy mids, solid construction
Weakness: large satellites
These are one of the best PC speakers I have ever used. They sound terrific and aren't at all expensive. The subwoofer pumps out rich, deep bass that rattles my walls. The satellites produce very clear highs and mids as well. The speakers do not distort at high volumes. They are must haves for any computer user serious about audio. The only computer speakers I own that beat these are studio...
