Ingram Creative Sound Blaster Audigy MP3+ Sound Card

Strengths: Easy set-up and install.

Weakness: none so far.

The Audigy MP3+ is an awesome sound card. It makes everything come alive, especially when using it to play games or just simply listening to your downloaded or burned music files. As for technical support....this is the part that "really SUCKS". I would recommend this card to all, but I don't recommend going to tech support or customer service for any help should you encounter any problems with...

Ingram Creative Sound Blaster Audigy MP3+ Sound Card

Strengths: Audigy sounds much better than the Live cards did, also has a few features that Live never had.

Weakness: When I first installed i had a problem.... When I started up my computer the sound would be at full volume, for a week or so I simply turned off the start up sounds till Creative finally fixed it.

I love the sound that Audigy puts out, full surround sound with excellent MP3 and CD playback, it also improved audio enviroments used in gamimg. I did have some problems along the way. First was the volume being set on full blast when I started up my computer, I had to make sure that I had my speakers turned off before I started. Next Windows Xp came out, the drivers for WinME didn't work for...

Ingram Creative Sound Blaster Audigy MP3+ Sound Card

Strengths: Great sound, nice software package that includes a sound editing package very similar to Sound Forge that includes a number of Sonic Foundry features, EAX package.

Weakness: Some issues with Windows XP and Via chipsets.

I upgraded my computer to the new Soyo Dragon Lite MB with the Via KT333 chipset and Windows XP Pro. The card wouldn't work (no sound, lockups, etc.) I called both Creative and Soyo for advice. Soyo's technician said to put the card in the last slot on the motherboard for the best results. The Creative tech admitted that they have had some problems with various Via chipsets, and restated that the...

Ingram Creative Sound Blaster Audigy MP3+ Sound Card

Strengths: Stereo inputs, 5.1 speaker support, digital inputs.

Weakness: Bundled software (esp. Play Center). Problems with sampling (pop and crackle!).

The EAX effects work great for Quake III. The stereo auxilliary inputs are great for plugging in a stereo sound source, or for data acquisition (for you DSP engineers out there). The only downside is the bundled software, especially the Play Center with is very limited (can't export play list to edit in word or excel) and crashes all the time. Overall a good value if all you care about is the...
