Description
The Fujitsu fi-5110C scanner's small footprint and advanced feature set make it an ideal solution for decentralized scanning applications. With its true, 600-dpi optical resolution and dual-CCD scanning arrays, it captures your documents' finest details in color and monochrome. What's more, it shares much of the advanced technology found in high-end scanners, including high-speed USB 2.0 connectivity, a 50-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF) that accommodates a wide range of document sizes (2.1 in. x 2.9 in. to 8.5 in. x 11.4 in.), and double-feed detection for reliable scanning. Plus at speeds up to 15 ppm (simplex) / 30 ipm (duplex) it quickly and efficiently transforms your paper documents into more manageable digital files.

Strengths: Very fast, small-footprint, no warm-up time.
Weakness: TWAIN driver can be overwhelming for non-technical users.
The best part about this scanner is that it is fast like a fax machine -- when you click Scan, it just starts taking in the paper and scanning it. It is an order of magnitude more productive to use compared to lower-end flatbed scanners that also have document feeders, because there is no 20-30 second "scanner dance" before it actually starts scanning.
Strengths: great scanner
Weakness: small appearance gives on the impression of a much less useful machine
fast easy hook up-My recetionist has thanked me fifty times and now looks forward to scanning! We had a Fujitsu 4010 before which I thought worked fine- Obviously a major step up
Strengths: Fast intake and does duplex scanning.
Weakness: Buttons on scanner confusing; Hard to get software working with buttons.
I must say that the price paid for the scanner was well worth it. The scanner does duplex, which is a big plus, but it is hard getting the blank-page-skip function working and only Adobe Standard is included in the package, not Professional.
Fast Little Scanner
Strengths: Fast scanning speed and small footprint
Weakness: None
The scanner takes up very little space yet has fast and excellent scanning capabilities. The only tiny problem is sometimes the paper feeder would suck in more than 1 page at a time. It's very rare though. Overall, the fi-5110C is an excellent scanner.
