Strengths:  Decent performance overall, but nothing above Northwood.
Weaknesses:  Heat, poor performance in audio/video encoding.
Review:  I upgraded from a Northwood P4 3.0Ghz at 533Mhz FSB to this Prescott 3.2Ghz 800Mhz FSB along with a motherboard that could support more than 786MB memory in hopes for a much more robust system in general. Weaknesses:  The CPU is so hot. The stock cooler is also too loud.
Review:  Compare to Pentium 4 2.4B GHz (Northwood) that I own before bought this one. This one is hot. The same CPU case that I used to put 2.4GHz CPU inside have the temperature at about 40 - 45 degree celcius but with this one, the temperature goes up to 60 - 65 degree celcius. that also cause motherboard to run hot too. Review:  If you plan to oc you will need a good cpu fan or plan to water cool. I've been able to oc reliably to 3.8 with value ram and a cheap wc setup. Good ram and good cooling I'm sure you can get to 4.0

Strengths:  Price versus computing power. Hyperthreading is great. 1 MB of L2 cache really shows up with some of my more intensive applications.
Weaknesses:  This CPU runs hot—really hot.
Review:  This processor is powerful. And if you want to save on household utility bills, you can heat at least one room with it. I’m not joking at all here—it runs that hot. I recommend this processor, only if you are willing to go the extra steps to ensure better CPU cooling.
