Buy this proc and spend the money you save on a good motherboard from asus and some ddr400 ram. Easy overclock to 3.4Ghz 100% stable. no voltage changes just up the FSB to 800 mhz on the motherboard and your set. Running at 3400 MHz, full load only raises CPU temp to 35C!!!! Idle temp is 25C. This is with two 92cm fans at 5V, one blowing in and one out. Overall, I love this CPU

The only thing that would be better is if this processor had hyperthreading and more cache. This processor is fast and very stable so far.If anyone is looking for a fast and stable processor this is a good one.

Nice and fast cpu. I currenlty own a 2.33 AMD in a different computer and this 2.4 seems a lot faster. I have been working with this cpu for a week now and everything seems stable. I have not tried overclocking this cpu yet, but have read good reviews on this, so I will try that after I get my computer all squared away.
Strengths: Price, FSB 533mhz, great way to get upgraded into the P4 arena.

When looking for value, this cpu has it. Jumping the FSB from 400mhz to 533mhz and from a 1.7ghz to 2.26ghz, The speed improvement was impressive. Opened up all that my intel motherboard was designed for(except H/T). Compairing cost verses price, this has got to be the best value on the market...

Replaced an ageing Celeron 2.0 GHz CPU and what a difference this makes! I am able to open multiple windows and have several applications running without any freezes.

I recently built a graphics workstation around this chip and an ABIT IT7 motherboard. With 1Gb of RAM and three Maxtor ATA133 drives connected to the motherboard's built in RAID, the workstation is very fast. I would highly recommend this chip to anyone with applications that require a large amount of processing.

Weakness: Runs a little hotter than expected, fan bracket can snap pretty easily.
Not much to report, it works and it runs fine. I typically use AMD so this one isn't much of a thrill. Retail box does come with 3 year warranty, that's a plus.

I updated my DELL dimension 4500 from 2.0GHz 400MHz to this 2.26GHz 533MHz. It is faster since I can use PC2700 memories now. The good thing is that this processor also comes with 3 years warranty which makes you worry-free.

A Pleasant Overclocker Surpise
Strengths: An Overclocker Wonder

I used stock HSF and set my clock multiplier at 200MHZ, the system zipped through post and Win XP boot in no time. I checked and my CPU is at 3.41 GHZ and the temperature is cool the touch at 45 degree C . I still have some room for overclocking. And it was very reasonable price too. Wow
