Strengths: DUPLEX ! Network ready, fast printing, toner save mode
Weakness: Toner is expensive (refill !),
I have a ML-2010 for 2.5 years that I refilled the same cartridge o it 3 times and it is still going strong, before I found a deal on this ML-2851ND and decided to buy. I have always loved Samsung printers as they make a strong printer. This unit is fast, compact, networkable and reliable. What more could you ask for ? OK then it has duplex also. Amazing unit. Only drawback is the price of the...
Strengths: Speed, ease of setup, duplex printing, works on both Mac & PC
Weakness: Color would be nice. :-)
I picked up this printer to replace an old inkjet, and have been very pleased. It's dramatically faster than the inkjet of course. I'm very pleased with its small size, and it had the two features that I wanted most (duplex printing to save paper, and networking for ease of setup). I'd been an all-Windows house, but we've recently gotten Mac laptops from work, so the Mac/PC compatibility was a...
Strengths: Prints well; lots of pages
Weakness: no other features, not an all-in-one
I bought this printer about a month ago and it is a powerhorse. I work as a real estate agent, and have to print so many pages, so this helps..
Strengths: Reliable, durable and lifetime use
Weakness: no weakness as for me
The feature I liked was the Ethernet port and duplex printing. This way, there is no need to have the printer server. I also like the Toner Save mode that i can extend the cartridge life up to 40% with its monthly duty cycle of 30,000 pages.
Strengths: small footprint, auto-duplex and network
Weakness: none
This is an excellent Laser printer from Samsung with sweet features like auto-duplexing and networking built-in. the printer has a small footprint and is fast to print. print quality is good for laser and this is perfect for home or small-office use.
Strengths: Duplexing, Footprint, Quality, Network-Ready
Weakness: none, toner cost perhaps.
It's a nice little printer. Like other Samsung laser printers I own it has a small footprint, prints reliably and looks good. The duplexing is a plus although I admittedly use it rarely. 1200x1200 printing capability w/ TonerSave for everyday printing are pluses also.
Strengths: Network capability; Fast printing speed
Weakness: Have to dispose old printers still working great.
This is my first network laser printer and after a couple of weeks experience I love it. The network function makes my home printing via the router itself possible and it's not necessary to power on the 2nd computer just for sharing its attached printer. The cartridge cost should not be a serious issue since it's not difficult to refill at all.
Strengths: Duplex support, network ready, native 1200x1200 dpi support, fast 30ppm speed, 32MB ram, USB2.0 support.
Weakness: High replacement cost for toner. Ram is either 32MB or 160MB, nothing in between. Paper always goes through 2 passes, even though you're only printing 1 page.
I've been waiting YEARS for a low cost printer with features like double-sided printing and network capability. This is the best printer upgrade/replacement for the house yet! Gone are the days I have to manually re-feed the paper to print on the back sides. The entire home network can finally share a printer without having one of the systems always turned on. Hooked it up to my router, assigned...
Strengths: Ethernet Ready. Design layout
Weakness: high cost of toner.
Great price monochrome laser printer (when found under MSRP). Prints clean, fast black and white prints. Ethernet port a big plus. Would recommend this printer if found for under $50.
THE GOOD: Lightning-fast text speed; excellent text print quality; compact; built-in duplexing; network ready with straightforward setup; comprehensive driver settings. THE BAD: Expensive; mediocre graphics print quality. THE BOTTOM LINE: Small businesses should take a serious look at the Samsung ML-2851NDs monolaser because of its excellent print speed, text print quality, autoduplexer, and...

Amazingly compact, network + duplex
Strengths: Perfect small business or home laser printer. This thing has great print quality and duplex in such a small package.
Weakness: Hard to find toner. May be difficult to even find re-fills, so may have to use original toners.
Network functionality is great for PC and Macs. It does a great job with printouts with 1200x1200 dpi B&W prints. Hard to find something that can stand up to this. PC Mag just gave this an Editors Choice - and I back that up too. It's a great machine and quite the work horse for short time I've had it. No regrets with this purchase, you won't either.
