Multifunction laser printer offers network scanning, color scanning, copying, faxing and printing. Generates 45 pages per minute with 1200 x 1200 dpi. First copy is out in 7.5 seconds. Supports direct printing of PDFs and image files from a USB flash drive using the USB Direct interface. Scan a document and save it to the USB Flash as a PDF, TIFF or JPEG. e-Task 5.7 touch screen provides access to print, copy, fax and scan-to-email functions. Fax offers a 33.6 Kbps modem, 400 x 400 dpi resolution, group speed dial, fax redirect e-mail address, junk fax block, Caller ID, and fax forward to another fax machine, e-mail address, and FTP site. Monochrome printer offers a flatbed scanner, 25 to 400 percent copy scaling, 514 MHz processor, 128MB RAM , a 600-sheet input tray and 50-sheet auto document feeder. Standard ports include Ethernet 10/100Base TX , one internal card slot, and USB 2.0. Energy Star qualified.

Lexmark X642e - a real bargain
Strengths: Very feature rich, this MFP has more features than I had hoped for, it is extremely fast, and the large LCD screen make it very easy for the end users to operate.
Weakness: It is a little difficult to setup, but I suppose that is to be expected when there are so many features.
It makes a disturbing noise, almost like someone is knocking on the desk really fast. I am not yet sure if this is normal since we have only had it for a few hours.
