Strengths: Compact design, memory card slots, faxing, copying, scanning
Weakness: Ink usage, no network capability
This is a nice all in one printer which has a small footprint and a 2.5 inch color LCD screen to preview the pictures which you want to print. I found the black print quality to be very good and the color print quality to be acceptable. I have also found that the print cartridges are very small and therefore they do not hold much ink causing one to replace the cartridges frequently. Overall this...
Strengths: Being able to print, copy or scan is a definite step up from a standard printer. Built in memory card reader even includes an xD-Picture Card slot.
Weakness: If you need to print a photo for a special occasion, okay, but otherwise I'd save the ink for routine print jobs.
With the ability to print, copy and scan, and with the built in memory slots, the HP C4280 All-in-One does provide multiple advantages over a standard printer, but, let's face it, mediocre printers can usually be purchased for a fraction of their suggested retail price (often even free) with the purchase of a new computer. The reality check comes when you have to purchase ink cartridges. Printing...
Strengths: Small, easy to use, accepts memory cards
Weakness: Print quality is not up to par with some of the expensive photo printers I use at work... But hey this printer is a really great deal!
This a great little printer for the money. The best feature about it is that you can print without having your computer turned on. Just pop in your memory card and you are ready to go! Installation was Very easy. I just followed the included directions and I had it setup in minutes! Another great thing about this printer is that it is both Mac and PC capable!
Strengths: Does what it claims. The screen and buttons are nice. Cheaper than some others.
Weakness: Sometimes the software is annoying. Need to have the Digital Imaging Monitor running in the background to be able to use the buttons.
I really like the copy machine functions. Very easy to use. It is also nice that there is a button on the top to choose the quality. I always choose the lowest to save on ink. The software is annoying if you need to work through the computer. I think that this is the type of printer that is just fine if you get it on sale, but it is not worth the full retail price.
Strengths: Price, speed, size
Weakness: none
This printer is excellent for budget concern user. This printer does everything--printing, scanning, and copying... The printing is very fast--probably about 22-25 pages/min on black and white... (spec says 30 pages/min)... pretty good already for my work. Photo printing on photo paper is pretty good, too. HP printer comes with cartridges that have ink head attached. This make the cartridges to...
Strengths: FAR with Macbook purchase. Easy to set up. Flat bed scanner and copier for occasional use (late night last minute papers due compatible). Photo quality ink available.
Weakness: No USB cable.
Can't understand why HP doesn't include a USB cable, unless it's pressure from retailers who want to sell their overpriced cables to unsuspecting customers. Cost to HP would probably be in the range of 50 cents, while the big box retailers work hard to upsell $xx.xx+ cables. Printer works fine until you run out of ink - that's the gotcha for HP (and other printer makers). But with so many FAR...
Strengths: Small, easy to use for printing, scanning, and copying. Memory card feature allows you to select specific photos for viewing and printing.
Weakness: None
Good printer for the budget minded. Fast. Easy to use. Good quality print.Does a good job on envelopes using mail merge. Cartridges easy to change. Attractive addition to the home office.
Strengths: Color screen, card reader.
Weakness: No USB cable, a bit too noisy.
Black Friday give away especial! I have never been a big fan of all-in-one products but I was very pleased with the performance of this lower end printer altough not a par with other HP stand alone's. But I can't complain when I got it for free (after rebate) with my HP laptop. It has a nice color screen and built in card reader. It doesn't come with the USB cable which is very common with just...
Strengths: Price. Weight. Dimension. Quality
Weakness: Small LCD.
Generally I like this HP product. It is cheap. Its quality is great for the price. Easy to use. Decent design. Not heavy. Appropriate dimensions, not too big. But the LCD is only 1.5". That's fair: you got what you paid.
The Photosmart C4280 is a general purpose, budget all-in-one colour inkjet printer, scanner, copier from HP. Primarily designed for light home/home office use due to its rather small ink cartridges, the C4280 allows you to print a large variety of paper sizes from a computer or straight from your cameras memory card. Using a memory card, a PC is not required as you can preview and select your...

The HP Photosmart C4280 is not the prettiest or fastest all-in-one in this roundup, nor does it print the best photos. It's not the cheapest either, and yet it's the only one without PictBridge and it doesn't offer optional Bluetooth. But it is the sleekest and most attractive of the bunch. And it handles basic printing and scanning just fine, which, at $99, could be just what the everyday...

DON'T BUY THIS PRINTER
Strengths: says it can do a lot
Weakness: This thing jams like crazy. I had my lemon swapped with a new one which proceeded to jam on the very first test page. It seems to jam every 2-3 pages.
I DO NOT recommend buying this at all. I have been through two of them already. It jams every 2-3 pages- and skips occasionally. I have tried 4 times to print 7-10 page double sided documents and have been unable to get 1 done right. All others have jammed or skipped. I print pretty infrequently which makes my point about the jamming even worse. The install was also horrible adding the...
