Strengths: fast, good quality print, easy to operate
Weakness: no network option
I have got this unit free after rebate with a digicam combo deal. So far I am very impressed how fast it prints. The print quality is awesome, better that my RX620. However, it is kind of expensive if buy it without any promotions (rebate or combo deal). It has lots of features to discover. I like the LCD and the operaton is very easy. Wish the cartridges were cheaper and it had the network...
Strengths: Print speed is great (once it has performed it's maintenance cycle). Dedicated tray for 4x6 photo paper. Photo printing top notch, including great automatic refinishing options Direct print from media cards, including still capture from some movie m
Weakness: Long and noisy "start up" maintenance cycle Slow transfer to PC from media card readers - will not replace your dedicated USB 2.0 card reader that's for sure.
HP has finally shown that - once again - it will always lead the pack and make everyone else copy their technology. The speed and quality of the prints are faster and just as close as my i9900. Also the printhead has 3900 nozzles which makes this puppy push out photos faster than some of my other pro photo takers have ever seen. I love this printer and suggest for anyone into photography from...
Strengths: Clear photo quality, easy set-up, paper auto-selecting works perfect, fast printing, etc.
Weakness: Print quality on plain paper is not superb but acceptable.
I have used several photo printers and this HP 8250 is the best among them. Photo quality on bundled HP premium plus photo paper is superb. Really fast. Especially, its automatic photo selecting function works perfect. It automatically recognizes the quality and size of paper you feed in and makes you easy to set up the number of photos you want to print out. This printer also works great with my...
Strengths: The images are clear, sharp, and crisp
Weakness: No network connection
I just bought this printer so that I could easily print serveral 4x6 photos from my digital cameras. The images are clear and sharp. can Direct print from media cards and have LCD previews.
Strengths: well designed, great LCD and functional menu, great support for Linux, separate cartridges for each ink color; very intuitive to use, very fast,
Weakness: no networking port, loading paper is little tight, but not a big deal.
I love this printer, very well built, you can print pictures directly from memory card or USB memory; you can even resize and crop the pics using the LCD and menu. Download HPLIP driver from hpinkjet.sourceforge.n... to get full functional driver and tools to manage the printer (cleaning, alignment, ink status, etc) for Linux. I haven't used it much to post a true review of the print quality, but...
Strengths: Very Fast for InkJet. Unique Cartridges, Realtivley Inexpensive
Weakness: Needs to be RJ45 (network) compliant!
The cartiages it comes with aren't good for printing pictures, they call them "host" cartriges. I called HP about it and they were happy to send me "Trade" cartriges to replace them. With the "Trade" (ones you would purchase in store - separate) the picture quality is a ton better, not as a Diesublimation printer, but good enough for what im using it for.
Strengths: Very good photo print, graphics output; separate 4x6 photo tray, nice 2.5" LCD, memory card slots, PictBridge connector, inexpensive combination ink cartriges(6)-paper replacement available for $34.99
Weakness: text good to very good, photos are water- and smudge-resistant not waterproof or smudgeproof
From a very first look this is a photo printer with the 2.5 inch LCD screen, the usual memory slots, and the PictBridge connector upfront. The photos are printed very fast from a separate 4x6 inch photo tray which makes it easy to switch from standard 8.5x11 printing. The quality of the photos are very good. Graphics are very good and text is good to very good. That makes this a printer that you...
Strengths: Quality document printing - fast printing - nice photo prints with HP Advanced paper - no paper feed problems!
Weakness: HP dropped the smart media card slot which I find somewhat annoying. We have several SM cards that we still use even though I have other media cards for my newer cameras...
I purchased this printer when it first became available for sale and absolutely did not like the way it printed photos. The photos were spotted, dotty and grainy looking. This has since improved so I'm not sure if or what I was doing wrong to contribute to poor quality photo prints, or if the ink that initially came with the printer was a lesser quality than one would buy from the store... But...
Strengths: Print quality, LCD, memory card capability, individual ink cartridges
Weakness: none
The HP 8250 printer comes with everything you need. It has a LCD to preview before you print. it can handle every memory card format of your digital camera. It comes with 6 individual cartridges, that ensure ink use is optimal. With other single cartridge printers, you have to throw the whole cartridge away when one color runs out, which is a real waste. In addition, this printers seems to be...

Fast at printing photos, the 8250 offers extensive software, but photo print quality was lower than on the other models.
Top
Though innovative, the Photosmart 8250 photo printer’s key new features were a little disappointing. Fast speeds and durability were made less impressive by the quality of the printed output.
Top
The Photosmart 8250 is a good all-around photo printer that can do just about everything. If you're expecting to print a photo every 15 seconds you'll likely be disappointed with the results -- we recommend waiting a little longer for much nicer results.

HP has been the leader in the inkjet-printer market almost since that market came into existence. But this time, HP hasn't rested on their laurels. Seeing that the competition, Canon in particular, is offering products that lead in terms of speed and cost per page, HP was forced to go back to the drawing board. For the first time, with this Photosmart 8250, HP is offering a consumer-market model...

Great Photo Printer
Strengths: Individual Ink Tanks Good Quality Fast Printing Speed
Weakness: None
I have been using this photo printer for a little over 2 month now and I am completely satisfied. The quality of the photos printed from it is great. Printing is very fast compared to other photo printers and having individual ink tanks allow for less expensive maintenance.
