Strengths: Printer itself is inexpensive
Weakness: Too expensive to keep
I bought this printer when it’s on sale. It’s almost free after a few rebates. So I’m happy with whatever it offers. Actually the printing quality is excellent. However, I know I wouldn’t keep it too long since it’s very costly to buy the inks.
Strengths: Quality of the Photo using recommended photo paper!!
Weakness: Apparently there is an issue with this model and other model HP Photo printers that HP has recognized and addressed the issue by telling people to use Premium Plus photo paper to reduce or elimnate the problem.
Issue: Pictures printed on photo paper on the HP Photosmart 7660, 7760,and 7960 printers may exhibit track markings. These markings appear as dots in a straight line. These printers use special wheels, called 'star wheels,' to pull the paper through the printer while printing to the edge of the page. These star wheels may cause marks noticeable under some conditions. Solution: NOTE: The issue...
Strengths: easy to set up and use, fantastic photos even on the normal setting and it's a great looking printer
Weakness: none
Prints much faster than my Lexmark X75 but the best thing is the color photos. I got this printer for my digital camera (Nikon3200)and I love it. I also printed some photos from a CD with 35mm photos and they came out as good as those done at the lab. I'd recommend getting the black ink cartridge for printing documents....too bad it's not included.
Strengths: Excellent photo quality, quick printing
Weakness: Makes a loud noise when paper is fed through the printer
I would definitely recommend purchasing this printer. Since I have had it my pictures look great and are dry when printed so their are no smudges. Straight out of the store!
Strengths: Very good print quality
Weakness: Could not use software included with Printer. I had to download a newer version before I could get the Printer to work. Much time was wasted before I found this out.
Easy to use and the print quality is exceptional. I like the color screen at the top for viewing photos and the activity of the printer. Nice sleek design. I would definitely buy it again.
Strengths: Handy viewing window, can print photos from digital memory cards without computer, excellent printing quality
Weakness: USB connection cord must be purchased separately, "grabber" edge of photo paper comes out of printer last where it is most difficult to grab
I bought this printer primarily for my parents' usage because they just purchased a digital camera and needed an easy way to print photos from it. This model is great for them, especially since it can bypass the computer altogether because of its handy viewing window. One can even do basic editing using the little window (crop, contrast, etc.) It has a nice additional compartment for 4x6 photo...
Strengths: Picture quality and ease of use. Many printing options!
Weakness: Price; need to switch between photo and black inks when using documents vs photos
Excellent printer! Great quality. I used to have a Deskjet 932c which I didn't want to part with but I'm glad I did. Very easy to set up with HPs quick start guide.
Strengths: High quality photos, fast text printing, affordable black ink.
Weakness: Expensive to print photos,
This printer prints exceptional photos and fast text. With HP's new Everyday Photo paper, printing photos isn't as expensive as in the past. The black cartridge is as cheap as anyone elses for cost per page...at about .04 cents per page. Looking at Canon's cost per page..well that will depend on what cartridge the printer uses. Their's can range from .03 to .06. On the 7760, you get crisp and...
Strengths: Good quality copies.
Weakness: Program to connect the printer was time consuming and complicated.
Although I have installed several computer programs and accessories, I was unable to get this printer connected. I needed the assistance of someone with even more experience in order to get this printer connected to my computer and operating.
The HP PhotoSmart 7760 is a true-to-life photo, color inkjet printer decided for quickly outputting high-quality documents/images at ultra fast speeds. It handles high-resolution documents (up to 4800x1200 dpi) at 13ppm using PhotoRet IV’s resolution resolution enhancement and color laying technologies. Plus, the PhotoSmart 7760 includes both a dedicated 20-sheet 4x6’ photo paper...

HP (Hewlett-Packard) Photosmart 7760 Inkjet Printer...
Strengths: Makes perfect color photos!
Weakness: The High price of the ink.
This printer is very easy to set up. HP has always had the best printers, as far as I am concerned. The pictures it prints out have perfect crisp colors and the black text is clean and crisp also. I would definitely buy this printer again. But I do wish the ink wasn't so expensive. My last printer was a HP 812C and I loved it, but unfortunetly it finally died on me, and I wanted to buy another...
