Strengths: cheap, work with PC and mac, pretty small, very good printing quality
Weakness: cartridge price
I got this printer pretty much free after rebate when i bought my Sony camera. It is a good printer for day-to-day use. It doesn't take much space on the desk and printing quality is very impressive. I changed settings to black and white as i don't usually print in color. I didn't install HP software, just drivers as HP printing software is a huge file and takes a lot of space on my computer. I...
Strengths: Compact, reliable
Weakness: Expensive ink
The printer does a decent job in regular printing and photo printing. It is also very compact and doesn't take much space. The HP ink is expensive, but sometimes, if you buy this printer with a digital camera, some rebates are available to reduce the price. The print speed is also ok.
Strengths: Inexpensive Good print quality
Weakness: None
I have used many HP printers and never had much issue with them. This one is no different. Just install the software, plug it in and your off. Don't print too much, because your next ink tank purchase could exceed the price of the printer! The printer is pretty fast at even color photo quality print jobs. There is no print bridge but you can plug your camera or flash drive into the printer which...
Strengths: Cheap (free after bundled rebate); lightweight; replacement ink is cheap
Weakness: Flimsy; so-so picture quality
I wasn't expecting much from a free printer (after a rebate bundle deal), but I wanted it to be workable. The printer is serviceable. It produces decent text printouts, and the pictures are decent, but not great. THis is okay for general purpose, but for real picture printing, buy something better. I like that the ink is fairly inexpensive. It takes a HP74 Black cartridge (about $17) and a HP75...
Strengths: Cheap. Fast printing
Weakness: Photo Quality function - needs better software.
This is a good printer for basic use. This printer is fairly inexpensive - I got mine free after rebate with purchase of my laptop. The speed of the printer's output is great. However when you try to print photos - the quality is not up to par.
Strengths: Great print quality. Good photo printer
Weakness: Not the fastest printer, expensive inks.
This printer gets the job done, very good quality prints, whether photos or just plain text. Ink carts are kinda expensive and the color inks are not separate. If one color runs out, you have to replace the whole cartridge.
Strengths: Price, doesn't mysteriously consume ink when not in use
Weakness: Inkjet
This is another average inkjet printer. The printer market in the past few years has become such that the manufacturers profit off of ink, not printers. With that in mind, do not spend more than $40 on any inkjet ever. They can usually be found much cheaper with rebates and other promotions. Also, do yourself a favor and buy generic compatible ink cartridges. An advantage of HP over Epson is that...
Strengths: Compact and easy set-up
Weakness: Ink
I bough this camera when my Canon ip3500 died. Instead of replacing the ink I got this camera. When compared to Canon this is not that good, Also I had problem when priniting first time as the VISTA was complaining about the drivers. This does not come with a USB cable to connect with your computer, and the ink cartridges that come with it are the "economy size" that don't last very long. However...
Strengths: Compact, fast printing
Weakness: not that good with graphics, only a little less than an AIO
This is a good printer choice for those of us who primarily prints documents. The inks are sensible and lasts a long time (especially the XL inks). My only concern is that the low-end All-in-ones only costs about 20-30 dollars more; but if you don't need the scan/copy feature then this is a good choice
The Deskjet D4260 is an inexpensive general purpose inkjet printer from HP. Primarily designed for light home/home office use due to its rather small ink cartridges, the D4260 allows you to print only a basic variety of paper sizes, including some photographs. Faster than all lower models, the Deskjet D4260 strikes a balance between speed and cost. The only difference between the Deskjet D4260...

Average quality printer of home use
Strengths: cheap price with bundle rebate, fast prints, campact size
Weakness: ink price, software interface, photo printing
I bought it due to the cheap price. It's not very disappointing until I found out that the ink price is not very welcoming. Photo prints don't have good quality but it's good at regular printing. If you could find the source for cheap ink and if you get it for free, it's a good choice to have it.
