Strengths: Feature-packed. Great scan and print quality.
Weakness: Extremely expensive ink. Only comes with "starter" ink pack.
It has every feature I want to use as a home all-in-one: scan, copy, photo print and print on CD/DVD. That's all I need at home. Print quality is great at the expense of extremely expensive ink. It's kinda ridiculus to see that printer with ink sometimes is cheaper than just a new pack of inks. Scan quality is better than my previous standalone Visioneer 8100 scanner. Scanned photos still...
Strengths: prints fast, beautiful picture quality, prints without PC, great scanner, color LCD, memory card reader, prints on CD/DVD media, copies,
Weakness: ink cost high, CD/DVD printing is a little awkward, must install ink before using, fairly large
This is a very nice looking AIO printer. It can print very fast, and when you want pictures, it duplicates color very accurately and brilliantly! Very easy to use and setup, and the utility software makes it easy to use for scanning/printing on the PC. You can also scan right to Adobe PDF format! Another nice thing is you don't even need a PC hooked up to it to print pictures, because it has...
Strengths: Is a standalone printer & does not require a computer. Great quality pictures & CD/DVD printing. Has a good scanner.
Weakness: Does not include a USB cable; Cannot use the scanner until you install the ink cartridges. Uses ink more quickly than a regular printer, and using economy setting for documents is kinda inadequate.
With the rebates available for many of the Epson printers make them great candidates This one Prints/Scans/CD/DVD prints great & can be used without a PC, however it uses ink more quickly like other Epson photo printer. This is somewhat expected with such printers, yet if you get aftermarket chipped OEM cartridges & well reviewed OEM inks you will have an excellent value indeed. Though this is a...
Strengths: I am returning this printer.
Weakness: Stops printing when any of the six cartridges are low... not empty, low by their standards.
Hey, we elected an African American President. Now, stand up to Epson, Canon and any other company that makes you (1) unable to print when one of the cartridges is "low", or (2) like Canon forces your to buy their ink. Nice little chip prevents 3rd party ink. I love the all-in-one RX-595, but after printing 300 brochures I can't get the last 10 because I am low on one ink cartridge. I don't care...
Strengths: None
Weakness: Noisy, doesn't like non-Epson paper, sucks ink, and is a poor value.
I am now on my fifth replacement printer in less than three months. I have other Epson all-in-one printers that were far superior to this one. The first two RX 595's decided they didn't want to recognize the ink cartridges. After long phone calls to Epson support and a lot of headaches, they were replaced with two more that would jam expensive photo paper less than an inch before they were...
Strengths: It can print on CDs. It copies really well! It uses six ink carts and doesn't come with ones that are mostly empty - so you get a decent supply!
Weakness: Hard to perfectly line up tray to print on CD. Even though there is an alignment option (haven't tried it yet), you're supposed to align two arrows that you can't look directly down at to line up!
Overall, this thing is really great. I've never been so excited about a printer in my life! I've only printed on a CD so far, but it came out really well (with the exception of being off about 1mm. It scans really well and copies effortlessly. And you can do most of the functions without even connecting it to the computer! The card reader shows up as one drive letter in Windows, so you can't read...
Strengths: Color LCD makes it easy to print straight from card. Sleek design.
Weakness: Both of my old Epson all-in-ones sucked up color ink even when I set it to print only in B
I bought this printer because of the rebate. I\\\'ve have Epson all in ones before and haven\\\'t had too many complaints. I\\\'ve used generic ink refills before and one still works fine and the other has clogged. This one takes 6 cartridges, at $15 a pop, it\\\'s $90 to refill it each time. Normally that wouldn\\\'t be a problem since I mainly print in B
Strengths: #1: price.. u can get the refurb for $55.. its a steal. #2 Photo print quality. #3 print straight to cd/dvd!
Weakness: no network port or bluetooth. a bit loud and slow at high quality. uses a lot of ink, Fix= wikipedia.org/wiki/Continuous_ink_system
This printer does use a lot of ink but just pick up a "continuous ink system" (CIS) on ebay. for like $50. iv been using one for about a year and no problems. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.... and as for complaints about smudging on cd/dvd prints. it completely depends on the print surface on the disk. you have got to use the water proof printable cds and dvds. they are a little more expensive but worth...
Strengths: Nice size, nice all in one
Weakness: Scanner does not scan with a great amount of detail
I liked this setup very much until I attempted to scan a picture that was very clear and had excellent detail. My scan of this picture was blurry an laced detail. So all in one cannot replaced a photo scanner. Other than one drawback Im pleased.
The Epson Stylus Photo RX595 is a mid-range inkjet-based photo-centric all-in-one machine with scan, copy and print functionality. Print speeds are fast, ranging up to 38 pages per minute. 4x6" photo-printing speeds are very fast; print time is estimated at 11 seconds. The scanner has an optical scan resolution of 1200x2400 dpi, with a bit-depth of 48-bits. The ability to scan directly to PDF,...

A great all-in-one, functional machine
Strengths: prints, scans clear pictures, prints on CDs, LCD screen, good price for the machine itself (not ink),
Weakness: expensive ink, large size
I consider this a full size, professional (for home use) all-in-one printer. It performs well when scanning and printing pictures. It's easy to use too. However, it's quite big and heavy compared to my Canon all-in-one. Although I haven't used up all the ink yet, I heard it consumes ink more quickly than most others and ink is expensive. I would only recommend getting it when you can get it at a...
