Strengths: Wireless copier, scanner, printer. Does the job
Weakness: Uses in very quickly, won't work without full ink.
I bought this printer with my iMac, and I'm not very happy with it. It seemed to do the job - copying, scanning, printing - then one day, the ink ran out. For some reason, the scanner won't work if there isn't enough ink. Once I replaced the black cartridge, the ink heads didn't line up, and I wasted 20 sheets of paper doing test prints. Now that I've used up all the colored ink, I need to buy...
Strengths: nice prints until it dies
Weakness: after a while - clogs, spits, noisy, paper feeds crooked, ink is ridiculous
Probably the biggest drawback with Epson is the horrendous service. Absolute refusal to respons to anything. Letters, certified letters, even sent rotten ink cartridges to the Prez in Japan on my dime. Nothing. Don't know why I keep using Epson except that I like 1) straight path paper feed and 2) separate ink carts so I don't have to throw one out after only the Cyan is out. Other than, forget...
THE GOOD: Fastest output speeds on any inkjet to date; outstanding print quality; compact footprint; inexpensive; robust driver options. THE BAD: Higher-than-average cost per page; lacks creative software suite. THE BOTTOM LINE: The Epson Stylus NX515 is a capable machine that will improve the efficiency of any office or work-at-home setup. Not only is it a lightning-fast all-in-one, but it also...

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
Strengths: Low price. Produces good prints ... while it lasts!
Weakness: Makes infernal noise when not printing in "quiet" mode. Epson ink outrageously overpriced. Printer stopped working properly after only 4 months. Epson failed to honor product warranty.
After about 2 months, I had replaced all the original OEM ink cartridges with Epson-compatible ones. There was no difference in print quality or printer operations using the non-Epson ink ... until a few days ago. When the black cartridge started producing spotty print, I thought .. ah, time for head cleaning! Yeah, right. After running 8 consecutive nozzle checks and exhausting 2 full magenta...
