I had a brother hl-1250 that I loved but got tired of replacing the toner cartridges to get rid of lines on the side of each printing (I tried cleaning, but it is a known issue with light users). Strengths: Easy to install, great functionality, quick to print, and very good print quality.

This definitely was the best purchase I could have made. Did much research that included customer comments which didn't steer me wrong. If I had to do it all over again, I'd pick this printer.

Great value @ $140. Text printout is perfect and FAST! Very compact. Scanner and copier work as advertised. Duplex unit on a printer this cheap is great, but it does curl cheap paper.

I have been shopping for a laser all-in-one and finally went with the Canon ImageCLASS MF4150. I received it yesterday and have been playing around with it, here is what I feel: 1. Its size is about what I expected. It is not tiny, but small enough to set on my standard sized desk which already has a dual LCD (19" + 22") display on it. I have to move the computer itself to under the desk though....
Strengths: All In One with most of functions at smale home office
Weakness: Build not as solid as Lexmark. Toner could not be refilled by design. Not network ready.
Props:This machine has almost all functions in small home office. Cons: Not network ready , so it could not be connected to network. Build is not as good as Lexmark, plasic appears fragile, this is Japanese machine common problems. Toner could not be refilled by design. It does not have refill hole like Lexmark.
Strengths: laser printer works fine, if you're directly connected to your machine. And the copier is fine.
Weakness: USB support is horrible
On a Mac, this printer/fax/scanner/copier is a printer/copier. And maybe a fax (I haven't tried to set that up yet). You can't plug it into the Airport Extreme; it isn't recognized. You can't go to it from Virtual PC; it isn't recognized. You can't use it as a scanner on a Mac; it isn't recognized, not by Image Capture, not by VueScan. There's no Mac scanner software. Strengths: Small - easily fits on the corner of a desk. Easy to set up and easy to use.
Weakness: No weaknesses that I can see yet.
I haven't had any problems with my fax/copier. The quality of the copies is very good and it is quick. It is smaller than I expected but seems to be well made. It was easy to set up. I've got a small office out of my home and I haven't been disappointed with any aspect of the machine so far. I have been using it for about 1 month with no problems.
Strengths: Nice appearance, not a bad price
Weakness: Poorly designed - more than 20 output sheets end up on the floor (no output tray), input paper tray doesn't feed right, incoming fax use requires extensive "tweaking" to receive faxes
I've spent at least 6 hours trying to get this to work - actually returned the first one because it wouldn't print faxes (on a dedicated line) from anyone but Canon tech support. Don't buy this printer unless you have a lot of time to waste setting it up and don't mind picking your print jobs up from the floor...

Strengths: Speed, quality of print out
Weakness: Not great for pictures (Monochrome only), slowness/awkwardness of sheet feeder and scanner.
