Canon imageCLASS MF3240

Strengths: Excellent price. I got mine for around ~$90 after rebate and coupon from Staples. It's relatively quiet and the cost per page is quite economical.

Weakness: There is no network connection. That is the one thing that bugs me about Canon printers, their mainstream lineups don't include network ports found on el cheapo Brother laser printers.

I can't really complain about the performance of this printer for the price, but I still can't get past the fact that an excellent multi-function laser printer like this doesn't have a network port. It's not so bad since I have it shared in Windows Vista, but a dedicated network port would have made this product really shine.

Canon MF3240 - Great All-in-one Laser if space and...

Strengths: Compact unit, Fit easily in my desk and setup is quick, Copy and Scan quality are surprising good for the price paid, Energy saver sleep mode

Weakness: Expensive OEM replacement cartridge

The unit though not sub-compact is still very compact unit for my office, being a laser unit. Set up is a breeze. The Copy and Scan quality is just awesome and the unit warms up pretty fast. The energy saver sleep mode makes this somewhat green. Uses only one cartridge though the canon replacement seems quite expensive. This unit serves our print, copy, scan purposes very well, considering that...

Canon Laser Printer

Strengths: All in one printer

Weakness: Somewhat loud, no autofeeder, very big

I am satisfied, overall, with the Canon MF3240 Laser Printer. Its very useful with all of the features it has, 4 in 1 printer. The monochrome prints come out crisp and the scanner does a good job with color scans. The programs that were included with it aren't very useful. A downside is that it does not have a auto feeder for making copies of many pages at once and lining up the page. I also have...

Canon MF3240 - Multi function

Strengths: Fast response, good multifunction capabilities

Weakness: average print quality, lack of duplexing, bulky

Great little machine thats worth the price. However, with competition in this category, Canon should have included duplexing capabilities in it. Asking for built in networking is perhaps a tad too much. While response time is good, graphics suffer from a slight loss of detail. Text is pleasing. Scanning and Faxing work fine as well.

Very Good Laser Printer for the price

Strengths: Fast print, clear texts, and charts, scanner and fax work perfectly

Weakness: It's not the quietest machine I've ever heard, toner saver mode is irritating.

Canon Multifunction Toolbox 4.9. This is a great feature I've experienced with this printer so far. It allows you to click one button, go through a couple simple settings, and then get a scan and go straight to an e-mail, or straight to a PDF, etc. This is a very good multifunction device for light/moderate home or home office use.

Nice all-in-one laser copier

Strengths: Easy to use.

Weakness: No auto document feeder. No power on/off switch.

I brought this digital laser copier when it is on-sale. The price I paid is good and it come with full toner cartridge, not starter. So far,the problem I got is when there is something wrong, for ex. no paper or the paper size is selected wrong, the printing job can not be cancelled by press the "Cancel" key. I can only reset it by power-off ( plug out the power cord). I like the power saving...

Canon Poor Customer Service

Strengths: Low price. Complete package of features.

Weakness: Features are just average. Print quality and Scanner output minimal.

Canon's customer service is very poor. The printer arrived printing white streaks down the full length of the page. Canon claimed it was a defective starter cartridge which they do not guaranty. They wanted the purchase of a new Canon full retail toner cartridge before further discussion. After further examination, it was obvious the problem was outside the toner cartridge. It was a rolled...

Canon's poor customer service

Strengths: Good features. Large footprint, but manageable.

Weakness: No USB cable furnished and USB is the only interface available. Very bad customer relations mentality.

The printer is large, though the foot print is only moderately large. There are several relatively good functions. It does require single feeding for FAXes and copies due to the flat bed. The flatbed can be both a plus and a minus. The plus is that you can scan things like books or magazines. The flatbed is a negative due to the single feed feature, so a large number of pages require a lot of...

Canon's poor customer service

Strengths: Good features. Has multiple functions. Came quickly even though it didn't work.

Weakness: Large compared to other printer with similar features. Very bad customer service. Print quality low. No USB cable furnished. Poor support site structure.

Great All In 1 printer

Strengths: Excellent price, I got it for about $70 after rebates and coupons are staples. Fast & clean printouts. Copy and scan functions are relatively easy to use and fast results. Energy save mode

Weakness: Not networkable. No automatic feed dispenser. A little on the loud side when printing. No double sided printing available.

I am a college student and have this set up in my dorm room. While this is not the small unit, it does not take up too a ridiculous amount of space. I also print out about 30 pages of notes a day and have not had 1 problem with jamming, etc. I do not use the fax function but have used every other function with no problems. Overall I would recommend this unit.
