Strengths: Price, memory card readers, easy to use, fast, duplex printing, great copy feature
Weakness: Large, No built in FAX, issues with using non-Canon ink
Although we have had printer for a month, we have not used it to its fullest. We have used for copying, scanning, but only basic printing. So far we love it. First, this thing is BIG. Make sure you have enough room for where you want to put it. We were ok with where we wanted it, but only have 1/2" to spare. The controls are easy to follow, and it can be used as a copier or photo printer without...
Strengths: Excellent print & scan quality, elegant and slick design
Weakness: Lag during scanning, no direct print from USB, no fax
My first impression is that it has an awesome and slick look. I kept on going back to Staples hoping that the price will drop below $199. After 6 months, it finally dropped to $150ish and I jump on it. Took it home and was really impressed with the print quality. Well... One additional drawback for me is that it cannot take generic ink like my IP3000. Canon has gotten smarter and place a chip on...
Strengths: Print quality is very nice for a home office machineI love having the ability to print auto-duplex...works great!
Weakness: It is a bit bulky
The quality of the printing is excellent...for both paper and photo printing. My only suggestion to others considering a printer when they have serious space limitations in their office would be to allow for the space required for the paper holder. This is not included in the dimensions provided. This PIXMA MP 600 is a nice printer, and I would buy it again.
Strengths: price and quality
Weakness: none
This unit was highly rated on all comparison sites and i can see why.Photos are fast and lab quality while scans and copies were also quite good. Can't go wrong with this unit.....
Strengths: Good Print Quality. Quiet
Weakness: No fax option
This printer prints with amazing quality. It is extremely quiet and still prints quickly. Scanned images are also impressive. It would be nice if this printer had a fax option but if concern is primarily printing professional quality images this is the printer to go with. I highly recomend it. The printer ink does an automatic alignment when ink is first installed to insure good print quality....
Strengths: ease of use; 2 paper feeders; copy, scan, print from pc; excellent photo quality
Weakness: no fax
I have owned an HP and then an AIO Epson. Both printers had frequent paper jams & other annoying quirks. The Epson was an upgrade from the HP to get better photo quality. It was a big disappointment. Now, I bought this Canon after much research on the web and with some trepidation. It is amazing!!! Fabulous photo quality (similar to Shutterfly). Easy to use. Paper feeds from both sources easily....
Strengths: Beautiful photo printing and fast! I love the duplex option and the two paper tray options. It closes up so dust won't get inside the printer. It has an ultra quiet setting.
Weakness: It is big, but looks great closed up.
I've only had mine for two weeks, but I really like it. It does an awesome job scanning and printing. It does fast, high quality prints. It is very easy to understand and work. I keep telling anyone and everyone that is looking for an all in one photo printer to buy this one!
Strengths: Excellent quality prints, seperate ink cartridges, good cartridge life.
Weakness: A bit large, a bit noisy, defective cartridge
The major function of this device is to print and it does so very well. It is a bit noisy, even on the quiet setting, and sounds a little cheap while it is printing. I found it very easy to assemble. I had a problem with one geniune Canon ink cartridge not being recognized. A quick call to Canon CS and a new one was shipped immediately. Apparently though there is a bit of an issue with the this...
Strengths: Cost, speed, and print quality
Weakness: Size
I purchased this for my daughter who will be in a dorm room in the fall, figuring she could ill-afford the clutter of multiple machines. I've always avoided multi-purpose devices feeling that they required inevitable performance sacrifices, but that doesn't seem to be a big problem with the MP600. The print quality is better than any ink-jet I've previously owned; the photo printing is better...

The Canon Pixma MP600 turned out to be a very impressive all-in-one printer. It offers high quality, fast photo printing, plus copying and scanning capabilities for under $200. It does all this with an easy-to-use interface that makes complex tasks (like two-sided printing) a breeze.

Prints high-quality text and photos; has a duplexer and dual paper trays, but no film scanning or automatic document feeder.

Canon Pixma MP600
Strengths: Extremely fast, produces high quality output and easy to use. 2 options for paper feed. Scans fast and accurately. Best of all, it is very quiet and so fast in B&W text mode
Weakness: kind of big and heavy. Only had it for a week though.
You can't go wrong with this printer, ink maybe hard to find and expensive. One complete set of cartridges will cost you about $70. look for after market ink! This is a very good multi-function, much better than my past experiences with Epson and HP.
