Strengths: Print quality, ease of set-up and use, price.
Weakness: Ink: price and speed of use
This is a nice entry level quality AIO (Print/Scan/Copy) that offers good quality printing...both text and pictures, along with acceptable scanning. It was very easy to set-up and has performed flawlessly so far. It does seem to go through ink cartridges quickly and they cost more than I thought they would. Perhaps this is just another way for manufacturers to offer lower initial equipment costs.
Strengths: Can save scans as PDF files. Includes OCR software
Weakness: Nothing major, fax software would be nice, the printer is still a little big.
I mostly use my laser printer so I will mostly review the scanner of this printer/scanner. . I like the feature of saving scans as pdf files. It makes it easier to organized scanned documents, like the rebates forms for this printer. It scans at 600 dpi in back and white, I think this is very good resolution for B/W. . I have not found a way to directly scan a document from this printer/scanner...
Strengths: Compact, all-in-one, great print quality, easy to set up and easy to use.
Weakness: None
This all-in-one printer is very good for home office. The scanning speed is reasonable, and the print quality is great. Set up is very easy and quick. Software is user friendly. The ink gone fast but won’t cost too much if you know how to refill them.
Strengths: Cheap, supports photo-printing, one touch scanning
Weakness: Expensive ink, slow printing and scanning
Originally I had an Epson CX3810 and this printer is very similar. However, this printer prints slower, scans slower, uses ink faster, larger, and heavier. This printer isn't one I would use to print though, since the ink costs so much. For a scanner it is pretty nice though since there is one touch scanning.
Strengths: Canon print very high quality photos. This one is all-in-one.
Weakness: still a little big.
I have used many ink-based printer, the cost/quality ratio from Canon is good. The otehr brand is HP. Mostly after I used up the ink, I will find a re-fill. This all-in-one so far is promising to me. Photo printing quality is good, which is important to me. I normally will use laser print for regular printing, and only use all-in-one for photo, scan..., and this MP160 is a good one.
Strengths: Prints and scans great
Weakness: Would like an integrated fax machine
Got this along with a notebook purchase. Got it cheap after rebate. So why not. True to Canon printing products, the color prints are very nice and crisp. Color reproduction is very accurate for this price. Scanning is great as well. For the price (after rebates), it is very difficult to beat. If a fax is integrated, it would really good complete AIO.
Strengths: all-in-one function at an affordable price!
Weakness: card reader and lcd screen
Besides not having a card reader or LCD screen, two things that aren't necessary but great, this is an AWSOME printer! Its print/copy speed are one of the best and at a price under $80, it is a steal! It doesn't take up much space and would be ideal for any college student!
Strengths: All-in-one design, with printer scanner and copier, compact design, has memory slot for easy photo printing
Weakness: expensive accessories
This AIO machine has functions of printing, scanning and copying. Currently Canon has a promotion which offers $50 rebate when you bought this AIO with a laptop or desktop computer. This makes the AIO very cheap, but it is very powerful. It is quite small so for such as small machine you can print scan and copy! The resolution is standard and the printing quality is quite good. It comes with...
Strengths: The quality of prints is great, can make copies without having to plug into computer, great compact design
Weakness: Ink usage
The Canon MP160 is my first all-in-one. So with that said here is the good: It has a great design - very small and compact. It is very easy to learn how to use. The print quality for what the printer cost me definitely exceeds my expectations. I definitely love how I don't have to turn on my computer to make copies. The bad: How much ink the printer uses definitely leaves a lot to be desired. The...
The PIXMA MP160 is an inexpensive general purpose all-in-one printer, scanner, copier from Canon. Primarily designed for a small amount of home/home office use due to its slow speed and small ink cartridges, the MP160 features Canons basic printing and scanning system. Like the majority of Canon models, the MP160 allows users to print directly from their digital cameras, regardless of brand,...

Canon MP-160
Strengths: all-in-one, good quality
Weakness: big, heavy, ink price
Maybe I'm not a big fan of these all-in-ones. Although this prints good quality, I notice the scan quality is not satisfactory to me. It is also lacking support with Linux.
