Prints 35 black/white pages per minute and 28 color pages per minute with 6000 x 1200 dpi. Built-in wireless and wires interfaces allow you to plug it into your wired or wireless router and share it to print, scan, PC Fax and access to the digital camera media cards or USB flash memory. All-in-One with Call Waiting/Caller ID faxes in color and black/white with 33.6Kbps Super G3 fax modem. Sends a page in 3 seconds. Offers 100 auto dial locations, 256 broadcasting locations, automatic redial, fax/telephone switch, and 480-page fax memory. Flatbed copier generates 23 black/white copies per minute and 20 color copies per minute with 25 to 400 percent copy scaling. All-in-One offers 64MB memory, 48-bit color scanning with 19200 x 19200 dpi, 400-sheet input tray, and wide-screen 3.3 color LCD screen. Weighs 34.4 lb. Energy Star qualified.

I have been using this printer now for a year. I print,copy,fax, and scan and have never experienced a paper jam including 11X17 size which I use for large spreadsheets. I especially like its networking capability and it currently supports 5 PC's (PC's and Macs) over a Wireless G network. If it had a duplex option and printed a little faster it would be the perfect printer.

I had this machine for 2 whole weeks when it just powered off and NEVER turned on again. Problem with Brother is you either get a great product or a lemon!! So I called them and emailed them, "tried plugging it in different outlets," and at their request took it to the service center (30 miles away). Great machine for a home office
Strengths: Great with a Mac, wireless, just a plug and your good, auto doc feeder is great
Weakness: Could be slightly easier interface for setting up some settings where terms are forun in the WLan settings
I've had this machine for over a year, and it is a great value. I use it at home and a brothers 9840cdw at the office, both work seemlessly with my mac, and brothers customer support is great, even years after a purchase. Perfect for scanning, autodoc feeder is solid, printing is fast, and though I don't use the faxing capability anymore it was fine when I did.
