My old Pentium 3 notebook was slugging around like a kid carrying a suitcase of bricks till I saw this memory upgrade and volia! Bought it and recieved it in a matter of 3 days.. Now my notebook is zippy, like a kid on skates! As the title says, this 256mb upgrade is something every P3 owner with a free memory upgrade slot should get! I've tried it in two of my notebooks and it works perfectly!
Strengths: It works
Weakness: n/a
This is just basic memory. It's cheap and it works, so it has the best of both worlds. The memory in my HP notebook died, so I replaced it with this and it booted without a problem. I recommend it as long as you can find it for a good price.
Strengths: Kingston - Well respected company with excellent customer service.
Weakness: None
Product is exactly as described. When buying online I look for warranty resolutions from the manufacturer rather than the vendor. I try to get Kingston memory because of prior experience with the company. If you have the rare problem they have a very easy method to obtain a replacement. I would have to say in many years I've only had one stick ever go bad. Actually I bought this memory to upgrade...
Strengths: Great compatability with other RAM
Weakness: None so far
This memory is a great value for the price. Works great with other types of RAM already in laptops and does not cause any types of errors. If you are looking to add a second SODIMM to your laptop, I would recommend this brand.
Strengths: This is the first aftermarket memory I have bought that actually included installation instructions along with safety tips in order to not electrostatically charge the product and ruin it.
Weakness: None
The part is well packaged for protection when arrived. The memory stick fit right into my laptop, and upon powerup was detected and began to enhance performance immediately.
Strengths: Bought this PC133 256MB memory to work with my original 256MB memory on IBM Thinkpad. It works all right. No compability problem.
Weakness: None up to now
Bought this PC133 256MB memory to work with my original 256MB memory on IBM Thinkpad. It works all right. No compability problem. It is much cheaper than IBM's suggested memory. So, it's a good choice for upgrading old laptops.
Strengths: 1. Backwards compatible with PC100 chipsets. 2. Good packaging with clear installation instructions. 3. Reputable brand. 4. Excellent value for money. 5. Lifetime warranty.
Weakness: None.
I purchased two Kingston 256MB PC133 SDRAM SODIMM for my Dell Inspiron 8000 and they have worked flawlessly. I had no problems installing the memory or having them recognized by the BIOS. No strange error messages in Windows 2000 and everything is now very speedy (this is an upgrade from the factory-installed 192MB). Got them for $42.74 a piece with free shipping from Amazon.com. You can still...
Strengths: Safe package & high performance.
Weakness: So far none.
It's really good piece to upgrade your Pentium III laptop, easy to install faster booting O/S even when you play media no more delay again, highly recommend to upgrade your laptop again.
Strengths: relatively inexpensive, compatible with IBM T23 notebook
Weakness: none
Bought this to add to my IBM T23 notebook, since it only had had 256M memory before. There has been no problem at all. In addition, it is inexpensive compared with other PC133 notebook memory, especially those IBM recommended memory. It's known to compatible with many old notebooks using PC133 memory. This is a cheap yet very decent upgrade, if you don't want to replace your old notebook.
