This is an excellent stick of RAM. Also, this looks nicer than a regular DDR stick RAM. Having owned both, I think this is the best bang for your buck. Also, it helps that this RAM is from Corsair, the best maker of Computer memory sticks. If you're looking for a simple upgrade and don't do any overclocking, do NOT pass up this stick at this price!!
I just inserted this RAM last night and found there's a huge difference from my old one from Dell. Much faster, and so far so good!! working pretty well!! Very satisfied about this RAM.
Strengths: Good packaging. Well-known brand. Good compatibility.
Weakness: None I can think of.
Just bought this RAM to add 1 GB to my existing 512 MB in a new Dell PC. Installation was simple. The motherboard recognized the RAM without a problem, and the system has been running error-free for the last 7 days non-stop. Corsair is a well-known brand, and I recommend them.
Strengths: Can easily set the timing to the lowest possible in ASUS P5GDC Mobo BIOS. No problem with CPU overclocking. Good customer and tech support. Awesome value for the price.
Weakness: None so far.
Corsair RAM is the only one I choose for my computers and lappies. I have been Corsair's customer since 2002. Every stick I bought has been working beyond my expectation. The RAM Guy in their support forum cannot be better. I bought 2GB of Corsair DDR RAM seperately. They had some conflict with the Mobo, but Corsair replaced them with better modules in a week (including all shipping time). Super!
Strengths: Cheapest price. Good value for your money
Weakness: None
I bought this RAM for my Dell Dimension 4700 which only had 256 MB. It works perfectly. Since this is my first time to buy RAM, I was a bit hesitant to get a brand other than Kingston or Crucial. However, I went with Corsair since it had the same specs at a cheaper price. I'm extremely happy with it's performance and I recommend it for anyone looking to upgrade their desktop's memory.
Strengths: Works perfectly with my Dell Dimension system
Weakness: None as of yet
I just popped this stick into my Dell Dimension 5100 desktop pc and it works great. I was a little bit timid to use Corsair at first since it doesn't carry the same brand name distinction as, say, Crucial or Kingston; however, it works just as good and I will purchase this brand again for future upgrades.
Strengths: This PC2-4200 533MHZ memory stick is working completely successfully alongside my new Dell PC's original PC2-3200 400MHZ stick.
Weakness: None detected.
While I'm not an expert on these matters, I do think it's definitely fair in my case here to proclaim Two Big Thumbs Up for this Corsair PC2-4200 512 MB stick -given that I've succeeded combining this new Corsair 533MHZ stick with an existing 400 MHZ stick with NO PROBLEMS and with a resulting TRIPLING or so of the machine's overall speed. I didn't THINK a new Pentium 4 machine should be as I...
Strengths: low latency, cheap price, good bang for the buck
Weakness: n/a
I dumped 2 of these into my wife's toshiba laptop. i got two 512's instead of a 1gb so that I could take advantage of dual channel memory and 2 gb would be slightly overkill. Video uses shared mem but these made a significant increase in performance, hard to beat at the price.
Strengths: good product at a very reasonable price.
Weakness: none that I noticed
I wondered if this would not be a very good product, at the low price, but that was far from the truth. The product was shipped very fast, and was in very good packaging. It was easy it install and has really sped up the performance of my Dell desktop.
The Corsair VS512MB533D2 is a 513MB stick of DDR2 desktop computer memory. It is of the DDR2 standard, and runs at 533 MHz (PC2 4200). It is a single-DIMM module, for 240-Pin DDR2 compatible slots. The VS512MB533D2 resides in Corsairs ValueSelect line of computer RAM and does not have a heat spreader. Currently the Corsair VS512MB533D2 is legacy and deactivated, and is no longer available for...

good and cheap
Strengths: Great price, easy installation
Weakness: none so far
This memory is from Corsair's ValueSelect series, similar to Kingston's ValueRAM series. The Values series of RAMs, unlike the top of line models, are not really meant for over-clocking. It's perfect for upgrading those aging computers for everyday home use. A lot of computers nowadays require PC4200 (533MHz) as the minimum bandwidth (speed). I added a pair of these memory to my Dell dimension...
