Strengths: Reasonable price, nice heat spreaders
Weakness: Don't buy the specs
Corsair makes good memory modules and has a good reputation, but let's be frank. These, just like Crucial Ballistix modules, aren't what they appear to be. These are not 4-4-4-12 modules. They're 5-5-5-15 and are programmed as such in the serial presence detect (SPD) EEPROM. Unless you are willing to tork around with memory timing and voltage, they'll run like any other decent PC2-5300 memory...
Strengths: Price, Speed, Overclockability
Weakness: None that I can find.
This memory is amazing. It runs at 800 (PC2-6400) speed without breaking a sweat. If you bump up your DIMM voltage a little you can even change the timings from 5-5-5-15 to 4-4-4-15 (Cas4). The heatspreaders look better than the usual black on the XMS series. I don't think you'll find better memory for the price anywhere. Corsair's tech support and warranty are superb.
Strengths: 2GB kit, cheap, fast, excellent for Vista. 667Mhz overclocks easily.
Weakness: not for extreme gamers.
I used this memory for a friend's PC, and it's perfect for Vista ultimate. Doesn't have any defects the heatspread is a bonus. The MSI board was able to recognize the 4-4-4-12 spec. Haven't overclocked it yet but will be in the near future. I give a 5 out of 5.
Another excellent product by Cosair
Strengths: Trouble less installation, Works fast, runs cool, no driver problems/blue screen of death, and not to mention very cheap. Excellent product. Worth every penny!
Weakness: Sticks needs to be set at 1.9V to run at cas 4. Not SLI ready like the other XMS2 series.
I really enjoy the Corsair Twin2X20485400C4PT. It is easily one of the best sticks of rams I have so brought far. It is not only fairly cheap but it is also very reliable. I had a trouble free quick startup upon installation. The pair of sticks also runs fast in my machine and even remains cool even when being over-clocked. I have not experienced any problem, like the blue screen of death, with...
