Description
This is a replacement battery cartridge for the following UPS (Uninterruptible Power Source) models: BP1400, BP1400I, SU1000XL, SU1000XLINET, SU1000XLNET, SU1400, SU1400INET, SU1400NET, SU700XL, SU700XLNET, SU700XLINET, SU700XLNET, SUA1000XL, SUA1000XLI, SUA1500, SUA1500I, SUA1500US, SUA750XL, SUA750XLI, SUVS1400, SUVS1400I. This cartridge is user replaceable and hot swappable. These cartridges are tested and charged batteries for your UPS. APC batteries provide factory-spec performance for your UPS. Off brand batteries may void warranty, may affect UPS voltage regulation, run time, and provide unpredictable results. APC recycles used batteries and almost 100% of the battery lead content is reused, protecting the environment. APC supplies the appropriate instructions for your UPS, along with any needed wires, all connections made with high current gas-tight crimps for high reliability. NOTE: Any RBC that exceeds 150 lbs. or heavy weight pickup limits, will not be issued return tags. The customer will be responsible for disposal.Use of a non-APC battery will void APC's Equipment Protection Policy.

APC SUA1500 Replacement Battery RBC7
Strengths: Hot swapable and easily changed out without shutting down the processes the UPS was supporting
Weakness: These batteries seem to have a history of early failure. There has to be a better way than SLA batteries for UPSs
We have an installed base of 40 APC SUA1500 units that utilize the RBC7 battery pack. You are supposed to get 3-4 years out of them but so far in 2 years we've had to replace 10% of the batteries. It may just me the nature of the battery type.
