Strengths: Fast, stable and cheap. Already burned 20 DVDs, none of them failed. The frame can be changed into white or black, so you can make the color of this DVD burner match your computer case's color.
Weakness: somewhat noisy when burning DVD, maybe some people prefer SATA port.
This LH-20A1P Dual Layer DVD±RW Write is an excellent cheap DVD burner, and I strongly recommend it to other people. I build a system by my own. A lot of parts are purchased from newegg.com or buy.com

Great/FAST Burner for the price :) / OEM Software...
Strengths: Extra white/beige bezel is a nice free addition to the package. Works as expected right out of the box. Easy to install and run. Extremely light, burns 20x, digital out, cheap.
Weakness: OEM software is misleading and somewhat of a disappointment. In order to play retail DVD movies with sound, you have to download a 30-day trial DVD-Video Multi-channel plug-in, then purchase the plug-in (for $xx) or purchase the entire Nero 7 Ultra Enhanc
While there doesn't appear to be 20x media on the market yet, getting a 20x drive will extend the economical lifespan of the device beyond what a 16x would give you. No louder than any other burner I've owned or used and that covers just about all brands. All I can say is let me spin you at the RPMs this thing does a disk and see what kind of noises you make.
