AVOID BUFFALO
Strengths: Sounds good, Raid 5, ad support, works well, but the Warranty makes this product a throw away.
Weakness: WARRANTY AND REPAIR SUCKS
We have been ordering these for customers as they work well, have raid (which we felt was a good thing, NAS with RAID), multiple units now have failed controllers. At the end of the warranty period (3 years on this product) they will NOT REPAIR OR REPLACE FOR ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY! If your controller fails all is lost! Our most recent one failed at a year and a half, we have spent 5 WEEKS working...
