Strengths: Was easy to install.
Weakness: Failked after 7 months and it was nt like I ahd some power surge issue. And their customer service is impatient and offers no help except to say ITS A BRICK
The purpose of data protection and storage back is to have some reliability. if its worse than a laptop , who needs it. The lady in customer service told me " Thats why we ask you to have two or even 3 devices" backing up you stuff. One wont do. and when the network card fails, dead! Amazing. I ll remember that when I fly next time, or am in surgery
Strengths: Great device, I was all over their AD support, Raid 1, and easy configurability. Their warranty destroys this product
Weakness: THEY DO NOT REPAIR OR REPLACE UNWARRANTED UNITS AT ANY COST!! THESE ARE TRASH AT THE END OF THE WARRANTY!!!!!

At 1 year and 3 months our unit failed (controller), they refuse to repair (at any cost) or replace and I was told "Read our Warranty it's...

Strengths: Supports both RAID 0 and 1 arrays, good price, SSH comes stock, but involves a bit of hacking
Weakness: Poor mac support, web-based browsing is rather feature-deficient, no independent power management
Here's my setup: This is hooked into my D-Link DSL-2640B wireless DSL modem as a part of an all Mac network. At this time, it does not interface very well with Leopard, despite its Bonjour advertisement. As I mentioned above, SSH can be enabled but you'll have to do a bit of hacking. The SSH binaries are present in the stock firmware, but just not enabled. I recommend googling for instructions as...
