This is just a simple network card. It's cheap and it works as advertised. I am running windows XP, so I am not sure how well it works with Linux or any other operating system, but it does come with a floppy disk that contains linux drivers.

I bought this without knowing what low-profile is, and the description didn't really explain it very well. Be very careful, because this will not fit in standard PC cases! I was just looking for an ethernet adapter, but this won't even fit in my motherboard or case. But it certainly has an attractive price, so if you have a computer that can use this, definitely go for it!
