The powerline adapter kit comes with two adapters allowing you to quickly configure your own home network directly through your existing electrical outlets. With HomePlug 1.0 and HomePlug AV compatibility you can achieve speeds in excess of 500Mbps. The single 10/100 BaseT Ethernet LAN adapter will provide speeds of up to 100Mbps, while the single Powerline adapter will provide network speeds of up to 500Mbps. Once configured, you can expand your network throughout your house as the PWR511K01 can reach up to 300 meters from its base. The PWR511K01 supports a variety of networking standards including 802.3, 802.3u, IEEE 1901, and HomePlug AV, making it not only efficient but extremely versatile. You can also take advantage of the integrated 128-bit AES Link Encryption with Key management, making it simple to secure your network from outside intrusions.

Actiontec 500 Mbps Powerline Network Adapter Kit

THE GOOD: The Actiontec 500 Mbps Powerline Kit (PWR511K01) is compact and affordable, and offers good performance. THE BAD: The Actiontec PWR511K01 kits included adapters dont support Gigabit Ethernet, nor do they have a pass-through power socket. THE BOTTOM LINE: While not perfect, the Actiontec PWR511K01 for now offers the best value among power-line adapter kits on the market.
