Intel D875PBZLK Desktop Motherboard - 875P Chipset -...

Strengths: Very stable. Has what you need and no unnecessary fluff. Good documentation on included CD and Intel’s website. Nice temperature and fan Active Monitor utility. Good Stress Test Utilities.

Weakness: Auto web update utility performance is questionable. Better to just manually download and install drivers from website.

This is a great board and I have had no problems with it at all (once I got the proper board revision for my CPU). My always-on computer never fails. The board was easy to install and very stable (read the documentation on the included CD). Recognized my Corsair low-latency memory (TWINX512-3200LLPT). Intel's website is very informative and has the latest chipset drivers and BIOS updates. Make...

Intel D875PBZLK Desktop Motherboard - 875P Chipset -...

Strengths: The integrated features of this board make it well worth the minimul cost. My board (without the LK components) did not have any conflicts or problems during setup.

Weakness: I have not found any weaknesses.

This board is the best desktop board I have ever seen or used. I am using the Serial ATA 150 RAID, with dual 120 Gb SATA 150 Seagate hard drives. It has 1 Gb Ram (1 - 512 Mb. in Mem Bus A, and 1 - 512 Mb. in Mem Bus B). Processor is the Intel 2.6 GHz P4 with HyperThreading. DVD is Sony 510A supporting ALL DVD formats for reading and writing. Video is an ATI RADEON 9600 Pro with 128 Mb. RAM. This...

Intel D875PBZLK Desktop Motherboard - 875P Chipset -...

Strengths: The board theoretically would perform very well... it makes fans spin.

Weakness: Misrepresented product

The d875pbz doesnt work with 800Mhz fsb processors out of the box, it requires a bios flash update to work correctly. If you dont have a spare 533 fsb proc though, you wont be able to boot to the bios flash floppy. At the time of this posting, intel does not offer technical support for the board, beyond whats in the online documentation. They do not respond, even with a 'we dont support this...

Intel D875PBZLK Desktop Motherboard - 875P Chipset -...

Strengths: The list of items that are build-in to the board is excellent. The ease of installing and setting up were first-class. Within the BIOS it is easy to find the switches to customize it to your liking.

Weakness: None, other than it should be manufactured to support heavier CPU fans.

I put it into a quite case, with a fan-less power supply (ProSilence PCS-350) to keep the noise down and was not happy with the noise level of Intel’s cheap CPU cooler fan. I changed to a Zalman CNPS7000-Cu cooler and set it to run at 1400 RPM. They warn you of its weight, that it is beyond the Intel specs. But it works, it makes the system quite and with the excellent Inter Active Monitoring...

Intel D875PBZLK Desktop Motherboard - 875P Chipset -...

Strengths: Intel Chipset, Intel Mobo, Intel Proc. All 3 = Stable. AGP/PCI Lock

Weakness: Overclocking does not meet my requirements... (4% increase isnt very good...)

Great stable mobo from Intel, but if you like to overclock stay away from this... Although there is a program out there that allows you to change FSB (Clockgen ICS952607)

Intel D875PBZLK Desktop Motherboard - 875P Chipset -...

Strengths: Very Stable and reliable like all intel boards. BIOS excellent. Compatibilty excellent. Fan Control in BIOS best I've come across.

Weakness: Does not have the rather good onboard sound codec of its i865 chipset siblings, nor the firewire like the PERLK model

Even though the overclocking options are limited with all intel boards, I much prefer to use them for my own systems because of the stabilty and reliability.

Intel D875PBZLK Desktop Motherboard - 875P Chipset -...

Strengths: The D875PBZ-LK provides a stable and fast platform for 533 bus or 800 bus Intel Pentium 4 processors.

Weakness: Unfortunately, it lacks onboard sound and firewire support which some may not have otherwise. No problem for anyone else who owns a soundcard with Firewire; such as the Creative Audigy series.

Overall this is a very fast and reliable platform for the Socket 478 Pentium 4 (533 or 800 bus models only). It had only what I needed and nothing I didn't. I have a Creative SoundBlaster Audigy which gives me high quality sound performance and firewire support; so it's lack of those items will not affect a user with similar equipment. So, if you are looking for speed and stability, look no...

Intel D875PBZLK Desktop Motherboard - 875P Chipset -...

Strengths: Nice motherboard, once it's set up

Weakness: Does not support Prescot chips out of the box.

I had the same problems that others seem to have had. I purchased this motherboard with a Pentium 4 3E Ghz processor, 800Mhz FSB, 1Mb L2. THe system would not boot up at all. The cooling fans would spin up for about a second then immediately power down. After doing some investigation I was able to determine that it wasn't a faulty board, or any other problem. This board just won't support a...

Intel D875PBZLK Desktop Motherboard - 875P Chipset -...

Strengths: Frighteningly powerful, a great value for the processing power it provides, I'm running a 3.0Ghz HT in a late revision model board so I didn't have any problems with my system at all.

Weakness: Could have used ATA 133 onboard instead of ATA 100, I could care less about firewire because a decent soundcard will cover that.

I'm amazed with the stability, and durability of this board, it has had electricity discharged into it more times than I can count through the stand-off screw holes. I built my own steel frame for the board and rest of my system out of an old Compaq Prolina server case from mid-1996, after I worked through my own problems, it's back up and hasn't crashed on me once yet in its current...
