Strengths: All in one motherboard, Ease of setup, Price.
Weakness: Documentation alittle light for beginner builders.
If you're expecting stellar sound and eye popping 3-D graphics spend the money for it. If you want a stabble board for basic office applications, homework, and surffing the net, you can't go wrong with this inexpensive, easy to set up, ATX-mini motherboard.
Strengths: Stable environment... support for 333DDR/ XP 2800+ Barton processor. Fast.
Weakness: NO Firewire or front USB connections. Hard to configure sound. VIA 4 in 1 drivers need to be updated. Hard to configure with XP professional. Could use 64meg onboard video and better power management.
Had to change two boards before one functioned well. Works fine and is very stable. No system crashes expect power management kills my USB wireless connector as it loops through the powersaver mode. Front side firewire and USB conenctors should be a standard...hassle to go to the back of the box each time you want to connect a usb device. Overall a good boardfor the price.

ABIT VA-10 Motherboard

I would rate this mobo a 9.0 (4.5 stars) in its category, as nothing is perfect. So let's handle the nits up front: 1- It is noted in several places re. updating the BIOS, to go into the BIOS and change the "BIOS protect control" setting (on the Advanced BIOS features screen) to 'Unprotected' prior to updating. Well, there is NO SUCH SETTING either in the original BIOS that came with my board or...
