Strengths: Glossy black elegant frame Non-glossy screen Component (Red, Green, Blue) Video Input HDMI Input VGA (Monitor) Input S-Video Input Composite (Regular Yellow RCA Plug) Input 1920x1200
Weakness: No DVI input Dark scenes in movies and games are REALLY dark
All in all, this is a great monitor and I consider it to be an amazing value. First of all, to start out, it looks beautiful. This is important, because there's a lot of LCD panels out there that aren't. There's a glossy black frame that makes it look really elegant. No dull gray standard office cubicle color for this one. Secondly, the enormous number of video inputs make this stand out in the...
Strengths: 24", minimal bezel & speaker footprint, huge BRIGHT display
Weakness: stand inspires about the same level of confidence as an elephant balancing on a chopstick. Must manually hit power switch to power off w/o blue screen.
with a handy 10' HDMI to DVI cable, i hooked this beast up to my c2d desktop running Win MCE & powered up - BLAM! This monitor fired up right away and immediately made me cringe with its painful brightness over my previous BenQ 20". i lowered the brightness right off the bat to 50% and will investigate further tweaks later. Suffice it to say i thought the colors were vivid and bright, and could...
Strengths: cheap, 1:1 mapping, 1080P via components, MVA panel
Weakness: poor OSD control
Just received today. It can go up to 1080P via components; that means you don't need an additional VGA cable to connect XBOX 360 for full HD display. The OSD is really not easy to use but you only need to use it for the fisrt time, right?
Strengths: The picture quality, brightness, look of the monitor, lots of ports
Weakness: The stand isn't as solid as one would probably like
This monitor is absolutely incredible. The screen is one of the best I have seen. It's nice and bright with no imperfections that I call of. It doesn't have a DVI port but since I am connecting it to a laptop I am using D-sub anyway. Even with the analog connection it looks amazing. The controls are a little weird at first but you get used to them and lets be honest how often to you change...
Strengths: Good colors, many connectors.
Weakness: Buzzing noise; no power saving in DVI mode; horizontal stripes; inconvenient controls; hot.
This model has an MVA panel, so it has better colors than the more common TN type panel. However, Westinghouse showed very poor design and quality control with this model. It has many problems: This model has a very frequent problem of an annoying buzzing noise in anything but full brightness (and full brightness is too high for most rooms). When connected to DVI (via the HDMI connector), there...
Strengths: Excellent colors and extremely bright. Nice aesthetics. Every kind of input you could want.
Weakness: Not very adjustible due to poor stand. Only supports DVI connections through the HDMI port for computers. HDMI will not go into low power mode. Buzzing sound if you turn the brightness down.
I bought this monitor to use with a HP dv9000 laptop with HDMI output. I thought this would be perfect for my laptop as it has a HDMI input, I was wrong. The L2410NM only supports computer connections that are DVI-HDMI. If you connect a HDMI source it does not recognize the input as a computer and as a result does not adjust itself accordingly. As a result, text is jagged and colors are off,...
Strengths: Bright, great colors, many inputs, MVA panel, HDCP, cheap price
Weakness: Buzzing noise, awkward contols, blue screen instead of low power mode on HDMI connection, weak stand, blacks a bit muddy
Out of the box this monitor is blindingly bright. Once you turn the brightness down to a reasonable level, you'll find a monitor that's very crisp at higher resolutions, with beautiful colors. Mine doesn't have any screendoor issue or dead pixels like some others have reported. I haven't noticed any ghosting either, but I'm not an FPS junkie. The blacks are a somewhat muddy, but bumping the gamma...
Strengths: Bright, no dead pixels, high 1920x1200 resolution, high contrast ratio, many connection types
Weakness: Runs hot, no DVI, non-adjustable stand
One of the few monitors that is 1080p (and more!) that also has HDMI at such a low price. The HDMI allows it to double as a TV and also for Xbox360/PS3 use. The plastic stand is a bit flimsy, but shouldn't be a problem if it isn't moved around often. There is a slight buzzing sound emitting from the monitor (due to lowering the brightness) but is very minimal. Great price/performance ratio.
Strengths: Aesthetically pleasing, multiple inputs, P-MVA panel, wall-mount option, HDCP compliant, 1:1 pixel mapping
Weakness: OSD controls hard to navigate, no side-to-side swivel movement, no height adjustment
In the ~$350 price range (when on sale), you can't do any better than this Westinghouse. It uses a higher quality P-MVA panel which has better 8-bit color reproduction. And when viewing the screen off-center, there's no annoying color shifting like with the cheaper TN panels. Nice thin glossy bezel, very professional looking. This model can double up as an HDTV thanks to its multiple inputs:...

L2410NM Black 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor
Strengths: Resolution, Contrast Ratio, Size, Price
Weakness: Weak Stand
One of the best deals I have came across on monitors. Has Full 1080P and then some. Lots of bang for your buck. The stand is fairly weak and feels very wobbly. Feels like it would not last long if you had to move it alot. Great contrast ratio, great resolution, and very well built. Would be nice if it came with a remote and if the buttons were labled better. Overall very nice monitor. I paid...
