Great monitor: Amazing real estate, no dead pixel, good image quality for desktop app and games, great refresh speed for games (could not see any ghosting). Great price ($1000) I haven't tested video on it or the adjustable height since it stayed at minimal height. Cable access is somewhat difficult due to the size but that is nothing to fault this monitor as I have the same problem with my 24'....
Strengths: Size, Price, Features
Weakness: None
When shoping I stumbled on to the HP Lp3065 and was looking at 30" moniters. Lucky me I thought that I would be spending two to five hundred more. Having read some reviews I decided to take a chance with the new kid on the block. Resolution, color, Features right out of the box had no problems. My brother and friends having seen it Like it and I think I may have a few more customers lined up For...
Strengths: humungus screen real estate, good viewing angles, beautiful image quality
Weakness: price, but as far as 30" monitors go, i got it for the very good price of $1400 minus $100 rebate.
I was considering the Apple 23", Acer 24", Apple 30", Samsung 30", Dell 30", HP 30". At one point, I even considered 2 Acer 20" displays side by side which would have come out to ~$450. Since I make a decent living (but not tons of $) doing video work, my main criteria was: - good image quality (but not top-shelf pro like eizo) - price - screen real estate I worked extensively with the Apple 30"...
Strengths: Clear, crisp, and bright images. Multiple DVI inputs. Stable, yet highly adjustable stand.
Weakness: Not as big a variety of types of inputs as some others. Not the most stylish kid on the block. Cable management not stellar. No on screen menus.
Near the cream of the crop of the current supersized monitors. Great to look at and the abundant screen acreage may take some time to adjust to. I did, and now it is easy to use the space well; it has increased my productivity, by a significant amount. If you, by chance, have multiple cpus or DVI based sources this is the perfect central monitor for quick flips between sources. OK, maybe not...
Strengths: Huge viewing space, vivid color, fast response
Weakness: Can always be cheaper and larger
I bought this 30 inch monitor so I can edit my pictures much easier. After installing DVI video card and connecting the DVI dual link cable to the monitor, the monitor quickly display excellent pictures quality. The color, 2600x1500 resolution is top notch. Iam glad to buy this monitor.
Strengths: Excellent resolution and clairty. HP outstanding for monitors and printers.
Weakness: Great with monitors very poor preformance with Computers.
Great HP product. Compared several monitors with in the same price range and found the clarity of the HP would consistantly out preform the competition. Would strongly recommend this product.
Strengths: Good picture
Weakness: Very Noisy when not in use
Despite the good picture I am terribly disappointed by some regular clicking noise when the monitor is in stand-by mode - considered normal by HP!. Everybody checking out my new screen is laughing about the cheap noise that even a no-name screen would not do. Not recommended unless you are using it only in a noisy office.
Strengths: clear, crisp, bright, fast, overall just excellent. the stand is also excellent. the ability to connect and switch between three computer inputs is also a plus over the apple 30" cinema.
Weakness: i would like more brightness control, like when it is dark in the room to make the screen less bright. also, more out usb ports of its built in hub.
the large single display, along with its crisp clear and fast picture make it far superior to dual monitor setups, especially in dual-link 2560x1600 resolution mode.
Strengths: Gorgeous display, crisp, clear picture. Absolutely the most bang for your buck
Weakness: As with any flat screen, it can get rather hot. This thing puts off a decent amount of heat (not like a 360, but still quite warm).
I don't know how I ever considered another monitor "good" after owning this one. Every aspect of it, from the USB to the Dual-Link DVI is spot on. This is FAR superior to Dell's excuse for a 30". You will not find a better monitor in almost any price range.
The HP LP3065 is a 30 LCD display, HPs late addition to the 30 monitor market. Targeted at professional graphic artists who need such a large monitor, the HP LP3065 comes with many features that make it a better option than other 30 monitors. The 2560 x 1600 and fast response time will enthrall serious gamers who have a suitable video card, and the wide viewing angle (178/178 degrees), along with...

Too much of a good thing
Strengths: Large real estate, relatively inexpensive, USB Hub, multiple inputs
Weakness: Overly bright, saturation is absurdly overdone (wide gamut), no OSD, Anti-glare coat gives the display a "dirty" look.
Wide Gamut monitors in theory sound like a good thing, you get more color representation as the monitor tries to obtain displaying 96% of the Adobe RGB 1998 color profile as opposed 92%. Now that sounds nice, you get 4% more colors but the RGB data sent to a wide gamut display colorimetric's distance between any two colors is much larger. This means you gain more colors at the cost of less...
