Strengths: Price was good, delivery was quick. Vendor was very responsive.
Weakness: Some dead pixels on two of the five monitors we ordered. Quality of screen images is so-so.
For our need of checking email and word processing, this monitor is fine. Price was right. Dead pixels on two of the five monitors was a bummer, but doesn't really interfere with image. For our staff who are at their computer more and do more variety of work on their systems, we would not use these monitors.

The only question going through my mind is why didn't I get this monitor sooner? The quality is super and the great sleek look adds just THAT much more reasoning into buying one. I plan to buy yet another one to dual monitor.

I purchased this LCD on sale and consider it an excellent value. The colors are brilliant with good contrast and respectable brightness. The footprint of the LCD is small and it will fit nicely on a crowded desk. The only possible negative for some is the lack of DVI support but other than that I highly recommend this for those looking for decent quality on a budget.

This is great monitor for people on the budget. The display and color is really sharp and bright. It has fast responses and great clarity. The auto configuration works very well and overall it is very easy to set up. I wish it had DVI but i can not complain for the price. It is very recommended.

I really enjoy using this monitor on a day to day basis as it is easier on my eyes. I don't play any games on it and for the price I find it hard to find a better bargain for the money. The defintely build a nice product and will continue buying an Acer monitor after this purchase.

Got this monitor a couple of months ago and is a good purchase. I mainly use it for microsoft office and web browsing. I find the size a little bit small, but isn't much of a problem. Colors reproduction is excellent and the contrast settings are good. I notice no ghosting thanks to the 8 ms response time :)
Strengths: Awesome Colors and Brightness. I can see everything while playing Call of Duty 2 and America's Army. Before I had an HP CRT monitor and couldn't barely see when people through smoke or at night.
Weakness: Lacks DVI Port Lacks Dual Inputs
Makes a funny sound when it first starts up. Never had a monitor do that before. Otherwise, its a great monitor and I would definitely continue to purchase Acer monitors.

Acer AL1706AB 17" LCD Monitor

Bought a few for work purpose and at $155 it is a very good price for 17 inch LCD screen. Resolution and clarity seem fine for regular office work. Haven't noticed any flaws or interruptions for several weeks of use now.
