The 56K V.92 External Serial Faxmodem from U.S. Robotics combines enhanced performance and reliability with the advantages of V.92 ITU standard technology. The device lets you quickly send email and attachments, surf the Web, and even take incoming phone calls while online. It is capable of receiving data at up to 56 Kbps and sending data at up to 48 Kbps. Quick Connect lets you establish your connection faster, so you spend less time dialing up. The Internet Call Notification (ICN) feature allows you to screen incoming calls so you can take only the important ones. Additionally, Modem-on-Hold allows you to take incoming calls without losing the Internet connection eliminating the need for a second phone line. This modem incorporates Line Probing Technology that allows you to stay connected to the Internet, even during bad line conditions. Using the included full-featured faxing software, the 56K V.92 Serial Faxmodem allows you send faxes from any Windows application, and receive incoming faxes at virtually any time. minimize
