Fantastic Mouse at a great price

Strengths: 2.4 GHz wireless at 800 DPI, Great scroll wheel, Configurable buttons, Teflon pads on the bottom of the mouse, Rubberized grip and side, Recharging base with no stupid batteries!

Weakness: Stylish ergonomics may not fit some folks' hands.

(Jan 6th, 2008) Long story short, I used the MX1000 laser mouse (came out roughly Spring of 2005) and it worked extremely well with no hiccups, so I also decided to purchase the Logitech G7 wireless gaming mouse around January of 06. Nice design and good attempt but problems with the clicking mechanism that rendered the first three G7 mice inoperable after 40-60 days. Finally decided that 2000...

Best mouse I've ever used

Strengths: Fluid movement, good weight and size, lots of buttons

Weakness: Haven't experienced any so far (although many complain about battery life)

I've had a number of mice, and I haven't ever used one that I've been nearly as happy with as this one. I upgraded from the MX1000, for no good reason, really, but I'm glad that I did. The movement on this mouse seems more natural to me, and I like the variety of buttons. The fast-scrolling feature is pretty interesting as well, once you get used to it. I use it all the time on websites now. If...

MX Revolution on OS X

Strengths: You can program buttons to perform different functions like thumb back/ forward button. You can switch between open applications with a single movement with the second scroll wheel.

Weakness: The mouse tracking speed is controlled via Apple's built in Mouse drivers, you will need to adjust the speed using the ‘Keyboard and Mouse’ preferences found in your system preferences.

Best Mac OS X mouse i ever tried! You'll need to download Logitech Control Center (LCC) software for Mac OS X from logitech website, it's not coming in the installation CD. With the One-Touch-Search function on top of the mouse you can search more efficient. You can highlight a word or phrase and press the search button. The search is automatic carried out in the search toll of your choice...

SOOO FAST I SOMETIMES CAN'T BELIEVE IT!

Strengths: really really fast! no batteries just put in it the base station to charge, setpoint tells you how many days you have left, and small wireless usb receiver that is separate from the base station!

Weakness: may lose the usb receiver but hey... at least it isn't connected to the base station... so i'll deal!

great deal! haven't had any wireless issues and I love how smooth the mouse moves! Although it has less buttons than my old mx 740 but I still think it rocks! hope to use it with games soon, but have mostly been using it for business. wish i could customize that the search opens in a tab instead of a new window but im sure they will figure that out in a future version of setpoint! One of the best...

The best mouse in the market

Strengths: Design. Ergonomics. Built-in rechargeable battery.

Weakness: None.

This is the best mouse I ever used. A lots of new features from logitech: hyper-fast scrolling, document quick-flip, new laser engine ect. It also comes with built-in battery and a charge station. I use it to replace my 1-year old MX610 and I feel much more comfortable than MX610. This is NOT a mouse for gaming. If you want to use it for games, you may be disappointed. Highly recommend for...

MX Revolution Rechargeable Wireless Laser Mouse - USB

Strengths: Innovative design and ergonomics. 2 scrolling wheels. SmartShift Technology.

Weakness: Price may be high for some. No Bluetooth?!

Never would have imagined a mouse better than the MX 1000, but then came the MX Revolution. 2 scrolling dials, Smartshift which allows the user to set the main top dial to spin freely or click to click with different programs. Every button and wheel is programmable with the Setpoint software, but I found the default settings to be just fine. The MX Revolution also can go days without charging and...

The best mouse I've ever used!

Strengths: Too many to list. Controls are placed at logical locations. Wheels and buttons feel very smooth, not cheap.

Weakness: After thinking a while, the only thing I can come up with is the weight is a little on the heavy side.

Currently this is my favorite mouse with the VX (notebook)version coming in second. I've owned a lot of mice over the past 20 years, going back to a single button $100 AppleMouse for my Apple IIc, and this, IMHO, is as good as it gets. I feel that the mouse is one of the most used controls on a computer, so it is important to me to get the best. I hate taking my hand off the mouse to do common...

Great Mouse! Best Logitech mouse yet.

Strengths: Light weight, comfort, features (including scroll wheel). Worked with my MacBook Pro out of the box.

Weakness: None that are significant. Don't know why they use IR instead of Bluetooth, but its a minor issue.

In my opinion, the MX Revolution mouse is a significant improvement over the MX Laser 1000, which I have had for serveral years (and before that I had the MX 700). With each interation these Logitech mice have become lighter and more comfortable in my hand, and are offered with better features. I very much like the smooth scroll wheel, which converts to a click wheel from the top (unlike the...

The most advanced mouse on the face of the earth.

Strengths: Nice design - fits like a glove. Built in battery and quick charger. Intuitive scroll wheel with second scroll wheel available for additonal tasks.

Weakness: Weak software that doesn't give you full contol. (uberOptions to the rescue!)

If you are a gadget guy like me, you can't wait to get your hands on new technology. This is one of those items that you should run out and get. My current favorite wired mouse is the Mx-510. It gives you plenty of buttons to customize. The MX Revolution is very similar in that regard, but what makes it different is the brand new scroll wheel which goes from click mode that does incremental...

A (Flawed) Mercedes of Computer Mice.

Strengths: Precise tracking, ultra-smooth surface glide (feels light), comfortable ergonomics, well-placed buttons, overall attention to detail and quality.

Weakness: FREEZE-UPs, price, short battery life, hard to reach side-wise wheel.

Unfortunately, I had to get rid of this mouse after a few months of use, due to intermittent freeze-up problems (a mouse pointer would suddenly freeze for 1 - 3 seconds and start again, yet without Windows reporting any kind of USB dongle connectivity loss), reported by many other Logitech wireless mice users, be it a desktop or a laptop Revolution, or other wireless models. Logitech tech support...

Logitech MX Revolution Rechargeable Wireless Laser Mouse

Mice have come a long way from the days of dirty and dusty balls that always got clogged up at the worst times to the super futuristic optical mice with the cool looking red-light beaming from the bottoms. Now we have mice with "friggin-lasers", as Dr. Evil would say, that work on pretty much any surface you use them on. The next evolution of mice will extend beyond the basics of being accurate...

Logitech MX Revolution Mouse

The Logitech MX Revolution Mouse is comfortable, performs flawlessly, and is highly configurable. While it does take up a USB port, that’s a minor complaint for such a great device.
