Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase. I use the mouse mainly for 3D first person shooting games. As it's a laser, the response rate is quite enough for the quick actions in the game. It would be better if this mouse comes with a charging station instead of using AA batteries.
Strengths: Smooth scrolling, great grip, fits hand well. Good price.
Weakness: No case/cover for receiver
This mouse is perfect for what I need, although I wish there were some sort of cover/case for the receiver, and some way to connect this to the mouse for easy transport.
Strengths: Rubber grip, scroll, weight. The USB connector also comes with an extended cable. If your computer is far away, you can use the extender to bring the receiver closer.
Weakness: A bit small for me.
Excellent mouse for the money. Yet to see how the batteries hold out, but I'm sure I won't be disappointed with Logitech. The only problem is the size. This is almost a laptop mouse, a bit smaller than G5 / G6 series and you have to bend your fingers to hit the left / right click. Not a huge deal, but I am an average guy (5'11") and this is on the border of being a problem. If you are taller than...
Strengths: Nice shape, not too small
Weakness: Too many buttons
I have a Logitech Bluetooth mouse that I was using with my MacBook before I decided to upgrade (or downgrade) to the LX8. For work at my desk at home, I needed something that fit my large hand better. In addition, I was tired of dealing with the occasional bluetooth hiccup -- hence I went back to old fashioned USB. I put the batteries in, plugged the receiver into my Mac and everything just...
Strengths: very smooth cursor movements. side to side scrolling. Good range.Comfortable grip.
Weakness: the only weakness I can think of is that the positioning of the forward and back buttons could have been a little better, its sometimes inconvenient for people with large palms.
I recently bought this logitech lx8 cordless laser mouse, and am quite happy with it. It has a smooth cursor movements. It has a forward and back buttons for viewing web pages. The mini receiver has a good range. Got this at a very good price after rebate (20$) from circuitcity. would definitely recommend this mouse
The Logitech LX8 is a lower-end, cordless laser mouse. Rubber grips and a symmetrical, contoured design aim to provide a comfortable experience for both left- and right-handed users. Unlike newer cordless mice, the LX8 requires a USB receiver to be connected to the Mac or PC in use. The mouse features a scroll wheel with side-to-side and zoom functionality, and back/forward buttons that are...

Satifactory mouse
Strengths: Cool color Great laser technology
Weakness: Shape of mouse
Installation of the mouse was simple. Just plug in the mini receiver to an usb port and your wireless mouse is ready to go. The Logitech LX8 is very smooth and precise. Clicking on a button is sensitive and fast so it is great for gaming. There are 5 configurable buttons. Using Logitech Setpoint software, you can configure these buttons to your liking. The shape of the mouse doesn't really fit my...
