Strengths: I wrote an excellent over-all review on this product after owning one for six weeks. My purchase date was October 20, 2004. However, the product & installed software haS developed..EXTREME PROBLEMS!
Weakness: UNABLE TO PLAY CD'S & DVD'S WITHOUT PROBLEMS.
I am a week into the above CD & DVD playing problems. The installed Sony "Inter-Vidio -WINDVD for Vaio & Windows Media will not play CD's & DVD's. I have 'down-loaded' from the Sony website..("the-fix") but the problem has not been resolved. The main reason for the problem (IN MY OPINION) is many of the Microsoft Security Updates are not compatible with any of the installed Media Players. Also......
