Weakness: May be a little slow if you unplug the laptop, but it is just the power settings that were originally used, but they can be changed.
First laptop that I have ever purchased, and it is very good. I love the wireless capability and I can use it all the time at my college. Battery life is awesome, I can use it the whole day on a single charge. I haven't personally used the Bluetooth on this laptop, but friends say it really helps to have it on a laptop.
Strengths: Compact, well designed, well built, light weight, smart engineering.
Weakness: Price although appropriate.
I owned an HP prior to this T40. I decided I wanted to get a light weight computer and of higher quality. I shopped and shopped and IBM and Sony were my top pics. In this laptop review learn why the IBM ThinkPad T40 is a good choice for mobile workers who want flexible connection options. No matter where you may be working from, you're sure to have a means of connecting to the Internet or a corporate network. The addition of IBM security features mean more time spent working and less time worrying about security when using the IBM ThinkPad T40.

Lenovo ThinkPad T40 14.1" Notebook - Pentium M...
Strengths: Performance; Long battery life; Lightweight; Solid construction; Combination of touchpad and trackpoint; Sharp display; Three-year warranty; Price
Weakness: Built-in wireless is not exceptional, only supports 802.11b standard; Could use additional USB ports, both existing ports are required when using with external mouse and keyboard
I'm extremely happy with the T40, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a light-weight laptop that delivers excellent features and quality at a reasonable price.
