Strengths: 2.2GHz Turion CPU, 2GB RAM standard, 250GB HDD, Many other nice standard features. Light weight, compact, easy to use.
Weakness: Custom configuration by the vendor removed too many needed items, like access to the User Guide, and warranty registration. HP's list of trial programs is a bit excessive.
I bought this to take notes in class, kind of like a PDA on steroids. So far, it's worked quite well. The multiple Direct Access features are a nice touch. The standard 6-cell battery is OK, but I think I'll order the optional 8-cell battery for the added battery life. This is my first tablet PC, and I like it.

This tx1410us runs cool and quiet compared to all other laptops I've owned and even after being on all day... I wouldn't use it in bed or anything since the bottom vents need to be clear but who uses a laptop in bed that much anyways? This has been an excellent laptop that I got for significantly less than retail. It runs smooth once completely booted and loaded. HP did include a lot of bloatware...
