perfect laptop

Strengths: fast, very useful

Weakness: it does get hot but you'll have to deal with it

o.k in my whole life i've wanted an apple finally i have got one for only $799 how cheaper can it get .yes it isn't macbook or macbookpro but it's the next best thing the ibook g4.the only weakness i detected was it gets hot after a while but just put a pillow on top of the ibook and you don't feel the warm.

Best of the last iBook G4s.

Strengths: Small, fast, capable, reliable Mac.

Weakness: Battery will only last a little over 3 hours after a year and a half of use.

With OSX Tiger, OS 9 Classic(maybe not as stable as actual OS 9), ultra-reliable compact design, Airport, CDRW(although you can get an external DVD writer), slot loading DVD/CDRW, iMovie, iPhoto, AppleWorks, and Bluetooth with all of these and more plus ease of use, I can't figure out why anyone would use a PC. The price on these have gone down so much you can't go wrong. As for the over heating...

Great, solid reliable laptop.

Strengths: Very fast laptop. Also very reliable. Has two usb 2.0 ports as well as FireWire. Long battery life and bright screen.

Weakness: Can get VERY warm in your lap, but not uncomfortable. Can bog down sometimes under heavy load, even with 1.25 gigs of ram.

I love this thing. I am a recent convert from Windows and don't plan on going back ANY time soon. This laptop has converted me from a Windows drone to a Mac fan. (The ads had nothing to do with it.) This laptop has also proved very reliable, won't crash even when I try to get it to. Apple outdid themselves with this machine.

Apple iBook G4

Strengths: Small size, very nice interface, Mac OS X, good amount of memory, cd burner, dvd drive

Weakness: decent hard drive space, a bit pricey

This laptop is a very nice little laptop. Its small size allows you to carry it around easier without hurting your shoulder. One bad thing about it is that it tends to get quite hot after long periods of use.

Excellent Choice

Strengths: Compact and portable, very light, long battery life, great display, worth every penny.

Weakness: speakers do not have very good quality

I have used Windows for 8 years and a few months ago I finally decided to switch to Apple because of word of mouth; I am completely satisfied with my purchase especially from purchasing it without touching an Apple Computer before in my life. The 12" LCD display is beauitiful, excellent quality. It has a great battery life ( up to 6 hours) and it's tremendously light (2.2kg). As well as this...

Brawns meets beauty

Strengths: Beautiful design, No blue screens of death, easy to setup and maintain.

Weakness: Not for gamers, more HDD space needed but upgradable, software incompatibilities with some peripherals.

I went from a PC to a Mac recently and wow, what a difference. I primarily use this laptop for graphic design so lots of rendering, vectoring and processing were necessary. At first the iBook range only suited my pocket, not the need but when this model was recently released it bridged the gap between the more expensive PowerMac and the weaker iBook. I suspect that a RAM upgrade may be in order...

The Best Notebook Value

Strengths: Small, faster and best choice for traveling!

Weakness: Only one problem is that the CD drive is a bit noisy.

As a student, I am very happy with my iBook. It is small in size, lightweight, and has very good battery life (about 4 hours). The built-in AirPort Extreme WiFi is a huge plus. This iBook is fast enough for most of tasks, and has a good suite of pre-installed easy-to-use productivity software.

Apple G4 iBook 12.1" Notebook

Strengths: Lightweight, Fast, Clear and brilliant picture, Plenty of ports, Good battery life,

Weakness: Media Drive not upgradable to a DVD burning superdrive

I had been looking for an apple notebook for quite some time and got a great deal so I jumped on this one. While I've only had it for a couple of weeks I've already installed software (Microsoft Office for Macs) which works great. Watched movies, very clear picture and good sound. Loaded pictures onto it, very fast connection. I have yet to play games on it but so far there is nothing really bad...

i love it

Strengths: portable,nice design..it's Apple!

Weakness: NO date and time memory when the battery is taken off; easy to get dirty

Have had it for half a year, i found myself now indulged in my new accompany. For those who are thinking a switch from windows to Mac,you got to be well prepaird for a certain adjusting period. At least,it's not an easy switch for me. Say, i might have spent about one month or even longer to get used to the icons and the operation system. I got frustrated at the very beginning and even from time...

12-inch iBook G4/1.33GHz (Combo drive)

No update to Mac product lines escapes our attention—especially when it’s the first revision of the Mac mini, with previously optional features for a low price. Bigger news is the iBook G4 line getting the PowerBook treatment with some high-end features. Brace yourself: we even dropped the iBooks to test the new Sudden Motion Sensor.
