This is a must have if your work require you to be on the road or the need to use your thinkpad with battery. This battery stick out that the back of the thinkpad but still look great. There's a new 9 cell battery from IBM (model #92P1102) coming out right now which is better than this one.
Strengths: Lasts about 4.5 hours. Genuine IBM product. 1 year warranty.
Weakness: Sticks out from the rear of the laptop. Takes awhile to fully charge.
This is a great addition to the Thinkpad. The standard 6 cell battery just doesn't cut it. I have a T42 and the 6 cell was lasting about 2-3 hours. With the 9 cell, I'm getting about 4.5 hours. I also have the Ultrabay Slim battery, which adds about 1.5 hours. So, in total I'm getting about 6 hours with WiFi on and screen at 1/2 brightness. Strengths: Long life on battery.
Weakness: Sticks out of back of laptop.
This is a great upgrade to the standard ibm battery. Much better battery life. My old battery was only getting about an hour of life. This one is getting a little over four hours.
Strengths: This battery is much more long lasting than the battery that came with the laptop orignially.
Weakness: This battery was bigger and bulkier than the original battery. It hangs out the back of the laptop.
The battery that came with laptop died and this one was a great replacement. I use this computer for personal home use so it wasn't a big deal that the battery stuck out the back but it may be an inconvience for those that use it for business. We recieved this battery quickly.
