Battery Technology Presario 1400 Series Notebook...
Strengths: It is visibly identical to the original Compaq battery in every respect except the label. The laptop battery monitor utility says it carries an 18 hour full charge, which is highly optimistic.
Weakness: Absolutely no documentation came with this battery other than the bill of lading. It would have been good to know the recommended procedure for first time charging.
This product appears to be as good as the original Compaq laptop battery in all respects, including the built-in charge indicator on the battery itself. Kahlon's price was very competitive, too. All I ask of a replacement battery is that it does the job (it does) and that it doesn't wear out too fast, which remains to be seen.
